Embedded Web Server

View page
US Patent:
6456308, Sep 24, 2002
Filed:
Nov 17, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/715749
Inventors:
Ian D. Agranat - Weston MA
Kenneth A. Giusti - Upton MA
Scott D. Lawrence - Concord MA
Assignee:
Agranat Systems, Inc. - Maynard MA
International Classification:
G06F 300
US Classification:
345854, 709201, 709203, 7075011, 707513
Abstract:
An embedded graphical user interface employs a World-Wide-Web communications and display paradigm. The development environment includes an HTML compiler which recognizes and processes a number of unique extensions to HTML. The HTML compiler produces an output which is in the source code language of an application to which the graphical user interface applies. A corresponding run-time environment includes a server which serves the compiled HTML documents to a browser.

Method And System For Display Of Web Pages

US Patent:
20030177175, Sep 18, 2003
Filed:
Apr 26, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/132153
Inventors:
Dale Worley - Waltham MA, US
Kenneth Giusti - Upton MA, US
Gregory Bruell - Carlisle MA, US
International Classification:
G06F015/16
US Classification:
709/203000, 709/218000, 709/228000
Abstract:
A method and system enables browsers to redisplay or refresh pages periodically while limiting retransmission of data to changing dynamic portions (data fields, dynamic content) of page files and avoiding retransmission of static portions of page files. Additional aspects include: a method of detecting when the infrequently-changing ‘skeleton’ parts of the page file have changed, thus avoiding having to re-transmit those parts with every update of the frequently-changing parts; a method of integrating the specification of add-on GUI ‘modules’ with ordinary web content written in HTML, thus reducing the effort needed to use the modules; and a method for a browser to instruct a web server to provide a specially modified version of a web page file. This reduces the amount of information that needs to be transmitted to refresh web pages periodically and facilitates incorporating defined GUI modules into HTML web pages.

Communication Method And System For Aggregates Of Separate Entities Using Data/Management Path And Mapping Path For Identifying Entities And Managing A Communication Network

View page
US Patent:
56595433, Aug 19, 1997
Filed:
Feb 22, 1995
Appl. No.:
8/392473
Inventors:
Dan Ater - Newton MA
Yigal Banker - Chestnut Hill MA
Kenneth Anthony Giusti - Upton MA
Richard L. Jacobson - Maynard MA
Brian Mahan - Ashland MA
Assignee:
3COM Corporation - Santa Clara CA
International Classification:
H04L 1242
US Classification:
370258
Abstract:
A system and method for communication and management of an aggregate is provided including a plurality of separate entities, each entity residing in a separate environment. The system includes a data path which is provided as a common medium. Each of the entities is connected to the data path for exciting the medium with a signal. All entities connected to the common medium receive the signal. A mapping path is also provided. The mapping path is implemented as a multitude of point-to-point connections such that each entity is connected directly to another entity via a point-to-point connection or connected to a first entity by a point-to-point connection and connected to a second entity by a point-to-point connection. The connections provide a known topology, allowing identification of all entities adjacent to a given entity to establish mapped adjacent entities. From these mapped adjacent entities all entities adjacent to the mapped adjacent entities are mapped until all entities of the aggregate are mapped.

Dynamic Provisioning Of Message Groups

View page
US Patent:
20140215492, Jul 31, 2014
Filed:
Jan 31, 2013
Appl. No.:
13/756054
Inventors:
- Raleigh NC, US
Kenneth Anthony Giusti - Shrewsbury MA, US
Assignee:
RED HAT, INC. - Raleigh NC
International Classification:
G06F 9/54
US Classification:
719314
Abstract:
The subject matter of this specification can be implemented in, among other things, a method that includes receiving, by a processing device, one or more first requests to add multiple messages on a message queue. The first requests specify a message group for the messages. The method further includes determining, by the processing device, that the message group does not exist on the message queue in response to receiving the first requests. The method further includes automatically creating, by the processing device, the message group on the message queue in response to determining that the message group does not exist on the message queue. The method further includes adding, by the processing device, the messages to the message group on the message queue.
