Abstract:
A locking system for a firearm attachment. The locking system having a rotating lock ring having a lock-and-release lever rotatably mounted thereto. The lock-and-release lever having a lock engagement surface optimally configured to forcefully engage a locking surface when in a locked orientation. The locking ring having a nonconcentric engagement surface that repositions in a radial direction when the locking ring rotates and the nonconcentric engagement surface is configured to engage the muzzle of a firearm for locking the muzzle attachment thereto.

Abstract:
Various techniques are provided for firing blanks from firearms. In one example, a blank firing adapter includes a mount assembly operatively configured to be attached to a muzzle of a firearm. The blank firing adapter also includes a main body having an interior chamber. The blank firing adapter also includes an escape port positioned longitudinally forward of the interior chamber and not in communication therewith. The blank firing adapter also includes a barrier interposed between the escape port and the interior chamber. The blank firing adapter also includes a projectile receiving area positioned longitudinally forward of the escape port and configured to slow down a projectile from the muzzle therethrough.

Abstract:
In one example, a firearm sound suppressor includes a housing including a front end and a rear end. The rear end includes a flange that partially encloses the rear end and defines a rear aperture. The firearm sound suppressor also includes a back end member disposed substantially within the rear end of the housing and including a rear surface disposed in abutment with an inner surface of the flange to prevent the back end member from passing through the rear aperture. Other embodiments are also contemplated.

Abstract:
In one example, a firearm sound suppressor includes a housing, a baffle, and an inner sleeve adapted to be disposed within the housing and to substantially surround the baffle. The inner sleeve includes a sidewall adapted to slide against the housing to permit the inner sleeve with the baffle to be selectively inserted into and removed from the housing without the baffle contacting the housing, and a longitudinal split extending through the sidewall and between front and rear ends of the inner sleeve to permit the sidewall to flex to permit removal of the baffle from the inner sleeve. Other embodiments are also contemplated.

Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention relate to a linear actuator in which the play and backlash in the linear motion of a stepper motor is reduced through the use of a torsion spring coupled to the stepper motor splined shaft. Also, embodiments of the invention include a controller designed for holding in the hand or mounting to a table with a bi-directional self-zeroing control knob which controls actuator speed and displacement. A flash memory unit may be included in some embodiments in order to save position information and other information about the linear actuator when power to the linear actuator is stopped.
