Swimming Pool Cleaner

View page
US Patent:
7213287, May 8, 2007
Filed:
Jan 16, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/345152
Inventors:
Joseph Wing-Tak Hui - Cupertino CA, US
Assignee:
Smartpool, Inc. - Lakewood NJ
International Classification:
E04H 4/16
US Classification:
15 17, 21016716
Abstract:
A self-propelled swimming pool cleaner which randomly covers the bottom of the pool. Water pumped from the bottom of the unit filters dirt carried thereby, then uses the pumped water to propel the device either forward or backward. A pivoted front axle causes the path of the unit to vary when changing from forward to backward so that the unit randomly covers the entire pool bottom. Spring loaded doors may be provided to allow water to exit when the unit is lifted out of the pool. A sealed motor unit has a metal portion to transfer heat from the motor.

Abstract:
A disposable salt chlorine generator for use in conjunction with a swimming pool, spa, hot tub or large vessel of water includes a bracket for mounting a housing on a wall of a swimming pool, spa, hot tub or large vessel of water. The housing is releasable mounted relative to said bracket and contains a compartment wherein a halogen-producing electrode configuration is removably mounted relative to the compartment. An electrical cable is operatively connected to the halogen producing electrode configuration for providing electrical power thereto.

Determining And Displaying Application Server Object Relevance

View page
US Patent:
8266153, Sep 11, 2012
Filed:
Oct 9, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/577001
Inventors:
Joseph Hui - Danville CA, US
Walter Duell - Bavaria, DE
Hardy Eich - Munich, DE
Timothy Martin Huth - Vancouver, CA
Dmitri Smirnov - Munich, DE
Assignee:
Oracle International Corporation - Redwood Shores CA
International Classification:
G06F 7/00
G06F 17/30
US Classification:
707748, 707756
Abstract:
In embodiments, the number of references to an object which is deployed into an application server framework may be determined by examining metadata extracted from configuration data sources within a multi-tier application framework. In embodiments, an object relevance value based on the extracted number of references to an object may be associated with the object. In embodiments, the number of references extracted from a data source may be weighted using a weight factor that is associated with the data source. In embodiments, the number of references to a source object may be extracted by traversing a source inheritance hierarchy and parsing the objects within the hierarchy. In embodiments, an object relevance display of a set of objects may be generated based in part on object relevance values of the set of objects. In embodiments, an object relevance display may be a molecular display, a flash tag cloud, and/or a source tree hierarchy.

Ring For Surrounding A Pool Drain

View page
US Patent:
20060053544, Mar 16, 2006
Filed:
Sep 12, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/222812
Inventors:
Joseph Hui - Cupertino CA, US
International Classification:
E04H 4/00
US Classification:
004507000
Abstract:
A ring for surrounding a pool drain to permit a pool cleaner to easily traverse the pool drain without interfering with the traversing movement of the pool cleaner includes a central portion positioned to surround a pool drain. The central portion has a predetermined height. An outer portion is displaced a predetermined distance relative to the central portion. The outer portion has substantially the same predetermined height as the central portion. An intermediate portion extends from the outer portion to the central portion. The intermediate portion provides a surface of substantially the same height as the central portion and the outer portion for enabling a pool cleaner to easily traverse a pool drain.
