Abstract:
A multifunction device includes a multifunction controller, a first interface for receiving input data from at least one scanner and a second interface for outputting processed input data to at least one printer, wherein the first interface and the second interface are each a standard interface. In a presently preferred embodiment the first interface is comprised of a SCSI interface. The multifunction device further includes a graphical user interface for controlling the operation of the multifunction device, including setting operational parameters for the at least one scanner and the at least one printer. Other interfaces are also provided, including one for coupling to a facsimile device for outputting processed input data to the facsimile device, and another interface for coupling to an e-mail port for outputting processed input data to the e-mail port. Another interface is for coupling to a global data communications network, such as the Internet, for receiving document data as well as recipient contact information therefrom.

Provided are a method, system, and program for processing graphics input. The graphics input may include a first and second types of graphics matter, such as line art and continuous tone. At least two data structures including representations of a same graphics matter are provided. An object is generated to include information on the data structures, including information relating the data structures. The object is then processed to produce graphics output including the graphics matter in the graphics input.

A multifunction device includes a multifunction controller, a first interface for receiving input data from a document data source and a second interface for outputting processed input document data to a printer, and a touch screen that implements a graphical user interface for controlling the operation of the device. The device includes control over setting operational parameters for the document data source and the printer, and selecting a mode of operation of the multifunction device. Another interface is provided for coupling to a facsimile device for outputting processed document data to the facsimile device under control of the graphical user interface, while a further interface is provided for coupling to an e-mail port for outputting processed document data to the e-mail port, also under control of the graphical user interface. Users are able to search and access databases through a global data communications network.

Abstract:
Provided is a method, system, and program for managing a multi-page document. A plurality of input files are received including digital representations of multiple pages of a document. The content of each entire page is represented in a first representation format. The entire page content is capable of including content of a first content type and second content type. For each page of the document represented in the input files, a determination is made of regions in the page including content of the second content type. Each determined region in the page is processed to generate the content for each region in a second representation format. The content of the entire page in the first representation format and the content of each region in the second representation format is added to at least one output file. The output file is then stored.

Abstract:
Systems, methods, and media for managing electronic asset tags for asset devices are disclosed. Embodiments include a system having one or more asset devices in communication with a network where each asset device has an electronic asset tag, where the electronic asset tag has contents including an asset number associated with the asset device having the electronic asset tag. The system may also include an asset tag manager in communication with the network to access the contents of the electronic asset tags of the one or more asset devices. In a further embodiment, the asset tag manager may be adapted to modify the contents of the electronic asset tags of the one or more asset devices. In another further embodiment, the asset tag manager may be adapted to reload to an asset device the contents of the electronic asset tag of the asset device.
