Water Collection And Dispensing Machine

View page
US Patent:
6779358, Aug 24, 2004
Filed:
Sep 18, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/955571
Inventors:
John M. Zakryk - Plantation FL
John Kopec - Margate FL
Assignee:
International Water Makers, Inc. - Quebec
International Classification:
F25D 2114
US Classification:
62291, 62317, 62318
Abstract:
A water collection and dispensing machine having a primary housing with an air inlet and an air outlet, an air blower structured to draw air into the primary housing through the air inlet and push air out of said primary housing through the air outlet. The water collection and dispensing machine further includes an evaporator coil structured to cycle a cold refrigerant liquid therethrough, the evaporator coil being disposed in line with the air inlet so that the air drawn into the primary housing through the air inlet passes thereover and moisture therefrom condenses on an exterior surface of the evaporator coil so that it may be collected in the form of water droplets, filtered to eliminate contaminants, and dispensed for convenient consumption by a user.

Self-Regulating Swimming Pool Heater Unit

View page
US Patent:
54718511, Dec 5, 1995
Filed:
Mar 15, 1994
Appl. No.:
8/212816
Inventors:
John M. Zakryk - Pompano Beach FL
International Classification:
F25B 2700
US Classification:
622386
Abstract:
A self-regulating swimming pool heater unit to be utilized with single or dual pump pool filtration systems, the unit including a main unit housing wherein there is contained a refrigeration unit structured and disposed to emit heat, as a byproduct of its cooling cycle, so as to heat filtered pool water passing through an internal, coiled flow through path within the refrigeration unit. The heater unit further including a plurality of internally contained single pole, double throw switches, a first, second, third, fourth, and fifth of those switches being connected in series with one another such that only when all of those switches are positioned in their normally closed position, will the refrigeration unit be able to operate. Each of those first, second, third, fourth, and fifth switches being connected to a regulating device which will cause switches to move to an open position and will cause a particular indicator light to turn on. Further, the heater unit includes an automatic timer and an automatic timer bypass adapted to enable the heater unit to function even during periods of time not designated by the timer.

Self Regulating Pool Heater Unit

US Patent:
61090506, Aug 29, 2000
Filed:
Sep 22, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/159074
Inventors:
John M. Zakryk - Plantation FL
International Classification:
F25B 2700
US Classification:
622386
Abstract:
To be used with a pool assembly of the type including a swimming pool, and a pool pump, a self regulating pool heater unit having a refrigeration unit structured and disposed to emit heat in order to heat a quantity of water cycled therethrough by the pool pump. Further, a power source is included and connected to the refrigeration unit, and to the pool pump through a timer. The timer has an on mode which sets a predetermined time period during which the power supplied by the power source flows therethrough to the pool pump so that it will function, and an off mode wherein no power flows through the timer to the pool pump. Additionally, an automatic timer bypass is included and connected in line between the power source and the pool pump. The automatic timer bypass is switchable between a bypass position and a normal position, the bypass position being defined by power flowing through the automatic timer bypass so as to bypass the timer, if it is not in the on mode, thereby ensuring that power flows to the pool pump regardless of the mode of the timer. Conversely, the normal position of the automatic timer bypass allows power to flow to the pump only through the timer.

Auto Switching Swimming Pool/Spa Heater System

View page
US Patent:
54152216, May 16, 1995
Filed:
Dec 9, 1993
Appl. No.:
8/164469
Inventors:
John M. Zakryk - Pompano Beach FL
International Classification:
E04H 412
US Classification:
165 38
Abstract:
An auto switching swimming pool/spa heater system, to be utilized with a pool and a spa, including a pool pump, a spa pump, and a single heater unit, the heater unit adapted to receive water flow from the pool pump and spa pump into an internal pool/spa flow control apparatus which directs water received from both the pool pump and the spa pump through a coiled heat exchange conduit of the heater unit, for subsequent heating thereof. The flow control apparatus including a bypass conduit with a spring loaded flow regulator valve therein adapted to enable water to bypass the heat exchange conduit upon an increase pressure build up of water directed towards the heat exchange conduit, water exiting the bypass conduit and water exiting the heat exchange conduit being directed through a single water outlet of the heater unit into the spa where heated water overflow passes from the spa into the pool, accordingly heating the pool. Further, the heater system includes a flow switch adapted to be triggered by water exiting the spa pump, the flow switch automatically shutting off the pool pump while spa water is being pumped therethrough.
