A jury of six men and six women found Officers Thomas Liciardello, Brian Reynolds, Michael Spicer, Perry Betts, Linwood Norman and John Speiser not guilty of charges they beat and robbed drug suspects during their time as members of the Police Department's Narcotics Field Unit.
Former officer John Speiser's lawyer, Michael Diamondstein, predicted that the officers would get their jobs back, though he prefaced his comments by saying he was not an expert in the police arbitration process.
