View page
US Patent:
20050106050, May 19, 2005
Filed:
Oct 12, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/961213
Inventors:
Christian Hunt - McLean VA, US
John Spadavecchia - Red House VA, US
International Classification:
G01F011/06
G01F011/30
US Classification:
417440000, 417552000
Abstract:
A hand pump includes a pumping system having a primary pressure chamber and a valve control assembly. The valve assembly includes a vent passageway in communication between the primary pressure chamber and ambient and a valve seal assembly having a seal and a seat. A biasing mechanism biases the seal against the seat to obstruct fluid or gas passage in the vent passageway to ambient. A traction device may be fluidly coupled to the hand pump system.

US Patent:
20050273140, Dec 8, 2005
Filed:
Aug 16, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/203992
Inventors:
Ara Boghosian - Alexandria VA, US
Christian Hunt - McLean VA, US
John Spadavecchia - Red House VA, US
Assignee:
Care Rehab & Orthopedic Products, Inc. - McLean VA
International Classification:
A61F005/00
US Classification:
606241000, 602032000
Abstract:
A lumbar traction device comprises a first frame member having a first handle portion and a second frame member attached to the first frame member by a hinged member. The second frame member has a second handle portion. The first frame member and the second frame member are moveable between an open position and a closed position. The first handle portion and the second handle portion are substantially aligned to form a first handle when the first frame member and the second frame member are in the closed position.

US Patent:
20060182306, Aug 17, 2006
Filed:
Feb 7, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/275972
Inventors:
Christian HUNT - McLean VA, US
Ara BOGHOSIAN - Alexandria VA, US
John SPADAVECCHIA - Red House VA, US
Assignee:
CARE REHAB & ORTHOPEDIC PRODUCTS, INC. - McLean VA
International Classification:
H04R 9/06
H04R 11/02
US Classification:
381423000, 381396000
Abstract:
A process of conditioning a corrugated diaphragm adapted for use in a traction device in order to impart a spring force. The process includes obtaining a neutral state corrugated diaphragm with a length of predetermined size. The process further includes heating the corrugated diaphragm at a predetermined temperature and time to reduce the overall length of the corrugated diaphragm and increase a minor and major diameter of the corrugated diaphragm. The process further includes having the corrugated diaphragm installed on the traction device at a length greater than the reduced overall length and less than the neutral state.

US Patent:
20060184082, Aug 17, 2006
Filed:
Feb 7, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/275971
Inventors:
Christian HUNT - McLean VA, US
Ara BOGHOSIAN - Alexandria VA, US
John SPADAVECCHIA - Red House VA, US
Assignee:
CARE REHAB & ORTHOPEDIC PRODUCTS, INC. - McLean VA
International Classification:
A61F 5/00
US Classification:
602032000, 602036000
Abstract:
A device includes a stationary housing. A carriage is slidable mounted on the housing and at least one corrugated diaphragm mechanism is housed in the housing and connectable to the carriage. The corrugated diaphragm is structured to elastically expand and retract, depending on an application of pressure, to extend and retract, respectively, the carriage relative to the stationary housing.
