John immigrated to the United States from Lithuania with his adopted family in 1948. He joined his family construction and development business in 1960 and was in charge of the Residential Division overseeing land purchases, subdivisions, and construction of custom single family homes, subdivisions, and high-rise condominium projects. Additionally, he was responsible for the sale and marketing of all, properties including shopping centers, commercial buildings as well as all types of residences. In 1975, he purchased and successfully operated Whaler’s Inn in Cold Spring Harbor, NY. His innovative style of management and marketing resulted in turning around a failing business and making it wildly successful. Whaler’s Inn was the first restaurant on Long Island to offer a live Jazz Brunch featuring professional jazz recording artists such as Arnie Lawrence, Jimmy Nottingham, Harry Shepard, Joe Coleman and many others. In 1995 he was recruited to be the Corporate Division Sales Manager of a major NY beverage distribution company. He saw the growth of the business that started with a 6-car garage-size warehouse to one boasting 300,000 sq. ft. The company is now seen as a model of how an independent distributor can compete with the major cola brands distribution systems. While vacationing in East Quogue, John fell in love with the East End and, it was during that vacation, that he found and purchased a home. He moved to it permanently in 2004 and has loved it ever since. In 2007, John decided to work as a full time agent in the real estate industry. He continues to professionally represent many sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants. In understanding the needs and goals of clients and customers John’s success continues to grow. Realizing that buyers rarely had anyone advocating for them in real estate transactions, John trained and has been serving his many clients as a Buyer's Agent. His experience both in residential and commercial real estate is a great asset. John continues to educate himself about the industry, the Hamptons marketplace and is presently acquiring his Associate Broker License. John is fluent in English and Yiddish.
