A hammer with a conventional open V-claw that has an aperture in the arm of the V-claw small enough so as not to interfere with the standard operation of the hammer and large enough to accept bodies of nails. When a nail body is exposed and cannot be pulled by the conventional V-claw, the body of the nail can be moved into and gripped by the aperture in the claw. When the hammer is then moved in a conventional nail removing motion, pressure is put on two sides of the nail allowing the hammer to firmly grip the body of the nail and then pull the nail out with ease. In some instances, the nail will be grasped using both the claw aperture and a hook extending from a side of the hammer.

A television remote control with channel-defined keys is provided including a housing. Also included is a plurality of control keys mounted on the housing having a pair of volume keys for remotely controlling a volume associated with the emission of audio signals by a television and a pair of channel toggle keys for remotely changing channels of the television in an incrementing and decrementing manner. Further provided is a plurality of user keys configured in a matrix on the housing. Each user key effects the transmission of a signal to change the channel of the television to a predetermined channel associated with the user key. Each user key has indicia associated therewith which corresponds with the corresponding channel.

Abstract:
A solar energy collection and conversion system is disclosed in which a cassegrain mirror system is rotated about a diurnal axis, which axis is adjusted for seasonal variations in the incidence of the sun's rays on the earth's surface. A black body absorption cavity filled with translucent or transparent fluid material is used for direct absorption of the sun's rays. The incident solar energy is absorbed directly by the fluid medium. The fluid within the cavity may be maintained under extremely high pressures and temperatures in order to utilize this fluid as a heat storage medium. Such heat storage is facilitated by apparatus which permits a change in the volume of the reflective cavity in response to the temperature or pressure of the fluid within the cavity.

Abstract:
A simulator and method of testing a sensor wherein an electron gun mounted n a vacuum chamber directs a stream of electronic onto a target plate made up of a heat sink backing sheet and a heat insulating coating sheet adhered to the backing layer to form small hot spots on the coating sheet. The target plate may be a sheet of copper to which is adhered a coating layer of glass or a sheet of aluminum to which is adhered a coating layer of aluminum oxide. Infrared radiation from the hot spots is collimated and passed through an optical system which forms an image of the hot spots on the sensor to be tested.

A hammer with a conventional open V-claw has a second hook claw located below the V-claw which is large enough to accept any size nail heads. The second claw is placed so as to grip a nail in a direction that is opposite to the conventional V-claw. The second claw may be a loop, V-shaped, or an open hook mounted below the standard V-claw on the body of the hammer head, or on the V-claw itself.
