Lamp Housing Containing An Integrated Led Support Structure

View page
US Patent:
6988819, Jan 24, 2006
Filed:
Sep 5, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/656542
Inventors:
Fred D. Siktberg - Indianapolis IN, US
Jerry D. Heiniger - Anderson IN, US
Assignee:
Guide Corporation - Pendleton IN
International Classification:
F21V 21/00
US Classification:
362545, 362240, 362311
Abstract:
A lamp assembly with an integrated Light Emitting Diode support frame is described. An electrically conductive lead frame is encapsulated in between the interior and exterior surfaces of a lamp housing. Surface mounted LED light sources and associated drive components are attached to the lead frame, and thus to the housing. A positive terminal and a negative terminal are formed from the lead frame on the inside to the outside of the housing, so that electricity may be transmitted from an external source to the LED light sources on the inside of the housing. The LED light sources are energized by the conductive lead frame formed into or onto the housing, thus eliminating the need for a separate printed circuit board with a conductive lead frame.

Wheel Bearing Speed Sensor

US Patent:
54914078, Feb 13, 1996
Filed:
Feb 3, 1995
Appl. No.:
8/383079
Inventors:
William R. Maxson - Fort Wayne IN
Jerry D. Heiniger - Anderson IN
James C. Rustman - Huntington IN
Assignee:
Kearney-National, Inc. - White Plains NY
International Classification:
G01P 3488
F16C 3200
US Classification:
324174
Abstract:
A wheel bearing speed sensor includes an annular rotor mounted to a vehicle axle spindle, having a plurality of teeth extending radially outwardly, which is received within a stationary stator assembly. The stator assembly includes an annular stator having a corresponding plurality of teeth extending from one end and positioned proximate to the rotor teeth. A bobbin member is slidably received within the stator just above the radially aligned rotor and stator teeth and is restricted from movement toward the teeth. A flexible magnetic strip is magnetically adhered to the inner surface of the stator adjacent the bobbin member, wherein the magnetic strip restricts movement of the bobbin member axially away from the radially aligned teeth. A variable reluctance magnetic flux path is established simultaneously between all of the rotor and stator teeth as the spindle rotates, thereby inducing a corresponding variable voltage in the bobbin windings.
