Abstract:
A system and method is provided for easily and securely coupling objects together. In some examples, a coupling mechanism enables a user to install, remove, or replace conventional light bulbs () in conventional light bulb sockets (), without the need to rotate the light bulb () several revolutions. A coupling mechanism uses a first adapter () threaded onto a conventional light bulb () and a second adapter () threaded onto a conventional light bulb socket (). The first and second adapters () use a combination of mechanical and magnetic coupling techniques to secure the light bulb () to the socket ().
