All-Terrain Baby Carriage

View page
US Patent:
51583194, Oct 27, 1992
Filed:
Jan 4, 1991
Appl. No.:
7/637457
Inventors:
Barbara Norcia - Jensen Beach FL
James Norcia - Jensen Beach FL
International Classification:
B62B 900
US Classification:
280643
Abstract:
In an all-terrain baby carriage comprising a frame, a seat or cradle for the baby mounted on the frame, two drum-shaped wheels mounted fore and aft, and a swivelling steering wheel assembly mounted on a hinged frame member. The steering wheel assembly may be moved by the hinged frame member between a hard surface configuration wherein the steering wheel assembly is lowered into contact with the hard surface, with the front drum wheel being out of contact with the hard surface, and a soft surface configuration wherein both drum wheels are in contact with the soft surface with the steering wheel assembly being raised out of contact with the soft surface.

Compliant Stiffener For Long Flexible Members

View page
US Patent:
54612004, Oct 24, 1995
Filed:
Jun 13, 1994
Appl. No.:
8/259690
Inventors:
James Norcia - Jensen Beach FL
International Classification:
H01B 700
US Classification:
174135
Abstract:
Long flexible members such as hoses, electric cords and cables tend to be springy and elastic. They are not easily coiled and stored. They tend to straighten out when bent into a desired shape. They tend to tangle and interfere with operations. The invention incorporates an elongate wire element running parallel to the long axis of the flexible member. The wire element is encased in the covering of the flexible member. The wire element is a conformable shape-retaining material such as a compliant soft iron or steel. It renders the entire member shape-retaining so that it may be conveniently coiled for storage or positioned for use. An embodiment for retrofitting an existing flexible member provides the wire element encased in a covering which wraps around a flexible member and then seals closed to form a shape retaining sleeve about the member.

US Patent:
20100066058, Mar 18, 2010
Filed:
Sep 16, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/283800
Inventors:
Barbara Norcia - Port St. Lucie FL, US
James Norcia - Port St. Lucie FL, US
International Classification:
B62B 7/06
US Classification:
280642
Abstract:
An all terrain stroller has front, rear and intermediate frame members, a baby seat on the frame, and a pair of vertically movable wheels on the front frame member. Two rollers are mounted respectively on the front and rear frame members for travel over soft terrain, and the rear frame member also carries a pair of wheels at opposite ends of the roller with a diameter slightly larger than that of the roller. A foot operable mechanism raises and lowers the pair of movable wheels to engage a hard surface and raise the adjacent roller above the surface and selectively to lower the roller onto a soft surface.
