As an associate broker and sales agent of 29 years, he utilized has vast experience in the real estate industry, his interpersonal skills, his sales experience, and his background in sensitivity, ethics and behavioral knowledge of people from his experience as a police officer to offer an excellent real estate experience. He has certification as a senior housing specialist to assist in senior citizen reverse mortgages and home transitions to nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Jim is certified as a Distressed Property Expert. (CDPE) Born in Detroit, Jim gradueated from Edwin Denby High School and the Detroit Police Academy in 1973. He retired from the Detroit Police force after 20 years of service and started his own landscape/snow removal company, Arctic, in 1983-2005 and started James Lantagne, LLC, which he still owns and operates. Jim and his wife Pam reside in Sterling Hts. They have three adult children, Lisa, Jamie, and Cheryl, and one grandchild, Katie. He is an active Board member of his church, Hope United Church of Christ, is active in his community, enjoys mentoring his real estate peers, and enjoys playing cards, computer games, yard work, and spending time with his family.
