View page
US Patent:
8155995, Apr 10, 2012
Filed:
Jan 3, 2008
Appl. No.:
11/968734
Inventors:
Flint McGlaughlin - Ponte Vedra Beach FL, US
Jalali Hartman - Atlantic Beach FL, US
Assignee:
Digital Trust, Inc. - Jacksonville Beach FL
International Classification:
G06F 17/00
US Classification:
705 736
Abstract:
A system and method are provided for assessing an effectiveness of Internet marketing campaigns, and for providing data gathered thereby to subscribers. The assessment data can be gathered in concert with, for example, private sector partners. Different marketing methods are tested, compared, and evaluated for effectiveness in reaching customers. Equations are provided for calculating such values as probability of conversion of a sale and of a success of a marketing campaign, based upon such factors as user anxiety and external motivation. The data can be used to improve a marketing campaign, and also to inform a subscriber base of techniques found to be effective in Internet sales.

US Patent:
20060089897, Apr 27, 2006
Filed:
Aug 24, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/212515
Inventors:
Eric Maas - Salt Lake City UT, US
Jalali Hartman - Neptune Beach FL, US
International Classification:
G06Q 40/00
US Classification:
705037000
Abstract:
An online trade-in system comprises: a pricing guide module, an affiliates module, a marketplace listing module, a trade-in website module, a transaction processing module, an inventory handling module, a database and a marketplace manager. The marketplace manager creates an online trade-in system that accesses the other modules to complete a trade-in transaction. The pricing guide module is used to define the items that are acceptable by the merchant for trade-in as well as a price for each item. The marketplace manager uses information from the pricing guide module and provides it to the transaction processing module along with user input to begin and create a trade-in transaction. The marketplace manager uses also controls the inventory handling module to generate a reverse logistic label that can be used by the user to send the trade-in goods back to the merchant, and track the trade-in goods as well as initiate the process to list the item on an online marketplace. The present invention also includes a number of novel methods including: a method for performing an online trade-in, a method for creating a pricing guide, a method for handling inventory, a method for item record creation, a method for dynamic pricing of trade-in goods, and a method for performing trade-ins for affiliates.

US Patent:
20060190379, Aug 24, 2006
Filed:
Feb 23, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/361514
Inventors:
Eric Maas - Salt Lake City UT, US
David Platt - Salt Lake City UT, US
Jalali Hartman - Atlantic Beach FL, US
International Classification:
G06Q 40/00
US Classification:
705035000
Abstract:
Systems and methods for automatic price monitoring of an online marketplace. The online marketplace is a virtual store (e.g., web-based) for buyers and sellers to exchange goods or products. A system includes a price monitoring module coupled to a market server, and buyer and seller devices. The price monitoring module retains a position garnered by a seller with the lowest price by periodically adjusting a subscribing seller's listing price to beat competing seller prices. The price monitoring module can be configured according to price parameters which gauge how much sellers are willing to concede. The price parameters can include, for example, a default listing price for a product, a decrement amount, a minimum listing price, and the like.

Peer-To-Peer Social Networking Optimization Engine

View page
US Patent:
20080120397, May 22, 2008
Filed:
Oct 15, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/974617
Inventors:
Jalali Hartman - Neptune Beach FL, US
International Classification:
G06F 15/16
US Classification:
709218000
Abstract:
The Social Marketing Optimization Engine is a web-based technology that allows for the automatic distribution of video, audio, graphical or text-based content to multiple websites, with built-in optimization of the content so that it automatically has a higher probability of being viewed within a socially-driven website. It is based on the Social Networking Index, a mathematical formula which describes the relationship between the content being distributed, the number of connection points within the network, the initial size of the community, the ratio by which individuals share content with each other and finally an estimate of the overall growth behavior of the network—or ultimately it's value. When utilized properly, a content publisher can increase overall content consumption through a variety of social networks and online websites, as well as save them time and resources, as well as build a large ‘fan base’ or community, through which to push additional content to, including marketing messages.
