Abstract:
A device for dispensing liquid pesticide while attached to an animal. The device comprises a sealed reservoir for the liquid pesticide, a fibrous wick of less than 3 millimeters diameter in communication with the reservoir and through which liquid pesticide passes out of the reservoir into the atmosphere, and separate venting device for preventing negative pressure from developing in the reservoir.

Abstract:
An apparatus for sustained dispensation of a chemical agent in minute quantities exteriorally of an animal, the chemical agent being such as a pesticide, insect repellentor other pharmacological agent, the apparatus including a small reservoir containing the chemical agent, a wick received within the reservoir and extending sealably exteriorally thereof, the wick having a diameter of not greater than about 5 millimeters (preferably less than 1 millimeter) and of length exteriorally of the reservoir of about 1 inch, the reservoir and contents having a weight of not more than about 10 grams, and a housing for retaining the reservoir exteriorally of the body of an animal.

Abstract:
An arthropod repellent device for attachment to the pinnal portion of the ear of an agricultural animal, such as a cow, horse, sheep, goat, swine or the like, including a band or belt of flexible plastic material of about 3/8 inch to 11/2 inches wide and of a thickness of about 3/16 inch to about 3/8 inch, the material having an arthropod repellent chemical incorporated therein, the length of the band or belt being sufficient to encompass the base of the pinnal portion of the ear of the animal, or mostly thereof, to which it is applied, and means of penetrating the pinna and the band or belt to retain such in position around the base of the animal's ear pinnal portion. In one embodiment, a separate attachment element is employed to retain the band into position and in another embodiment, an attachment element is integral with the band or belt.
