Wall Switch Plate Adaptor

View page
US Patent:
53939468, Feb 28, 1995
Filed:
Aug 12, 1993
Appl. No.:
8/105384
Inventors:
Herman H. DeLaHoz - Sewell NJ
International Classification:
H01H 320
US Classification:
200331
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wall switch plate adaptor for use by children or the disabled to turn off and on wall switches which are located above the reach of the potential user. The wall switch plate adaptor comprises a switch plate cover that includes raised areas to the left and right of the middle opening. These raised areas of the switch plate cover are used as guides for the flared edges wing-like projections at the end of an elongated member which projects a distance below the bottom edge of the switch plate cover. The wing-like projections fit in between the raised areas to the left and right of the opening in the switch plate cover. The top of the elongated member has a box channel shaped cross-section with flared edges forming wing-like projection has an opening in the center so the toggle switch can be put through when assembled. The wing-like projections at the end of the elongated member move in the space between the raised areas in the switch plate cover and the toggle switch bracket enabling the user to turn the wall switch on and off by pushing or pulling the lower end of the elongated member.

US Patent:
60221925, Feb 8, 2000
Filed:
May 19, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/080973
Inventors:
Herman H. DeLaHoz - Fairlawn NJ
Martin Hupfl - E. Windsor NJ
International Classification:
F04D 2900
US Classification:
416146R
Abstract:
An automatic cleaning system for a ceiling fan having a plurality of fan blades extending outwardly from a central motor driven hub comprising a plurality of cleaning units, each in a cleaning engagement with a top surface and a bottom surface of a different one of the plurality of fan blades; and a plurality of recoil units, each connected to the different one of the plurality of fan blades adjacent the central motor driven hub and an associated one of the plurality of cleaning units to enable each of the plurality of cleaning units to travel from a point adjacent the central motor driven hub to an outward end of the different one of the plurality of fan blades due to the centrifugal force when the ceiling fan is running and to retract each of the plurality of cleaning units to the point from the outward end of the different one of the plurality of fan blades when the ceiling fan is not running.
