Evaporator Pressure Regulator

View page
US Patent:
40248887, May 24, 1977
Filed:
Feb 2, 1976
Appl. No.:
5/654465
Inventors:
Henry Jacyno - Franklin WI
Assignee:
The Singer Company - New York NY
International Classification:
F16K 2106
US Classification:
137514
Abstract:
Pressure acting on the face of the poppet valve is opposed by a gas charge or a spring in the bellows. The valve controls evaporator pressure in an automotive air conditioning system. Destructive response to pressure pulses from the compressor is prevented by the static friction obtained by having a leaf spring bear on opposed sides of a self-lubricating plastic sleeve carried on a shaft fixed on the valve. The various modifications show ways of minimizing the effect of temperature change through the valve and minimizing the differential of the valve.

By-Pass Valve For Automotive Air Conditioning System

View page
US Patent:
43003575, Nov 17, 1981
Filed:
May 7, 1979
Appl. No.:
6/036762
Inventors:
Henry Jacyno - Franklin WI
Assignee:
The Singer Company - Stamford CT
International Classification:
B60H 304
US Classification:
62239
Abstract:
The valve opens in response to a predetermined small pressure differential acting across the valve. As the pressure differential increases, the valve throttles the flow and when a high pressure differential exists the valve closes. The valve is designed to be placed in a by-pass circuit in an automotive air conditioning system to provide adequate flow under low cooling loads to cool and lubricate the compressor. Under normal and high evaporator loads, the by-pass flow is throttled or closed off completely to avoid needless consumption of energy.

Agitator Assembly For Use In Blender Appliance

View page
US Patent:
44626940, Jul 31, 1984
Filed:
Aug 23, 1983
Appl. No.:
6/525641
Inventors:
Peter J. Ernster - Glendale WI
Henry Jacyno - Franklin WI
Assignee:
Sunbeam Corporation - Oak Brook IL
International Classification:
B01F 716
US Classification:
366205
Abstract:
An agitator assembly for a blender appliance including a diaphragm closure for the bottom opening in a blender vessel with a pair of spaced bearings supported on said diaphragm and a two-piece shaft assembly to interconnect the motor drive and the comminuting blades, the two-pieces being coupled by a spline connection which eliminates the need for accurate bearing alignment.

Evaporator Pressure Regulator

View page
US Patent:
43357423, Jun 22, 1982
Filed:
Jan 24, 1977
Appl. No.:
5/761679
Inventors:
Henry Jacyno - Franklin WI
Assignee:
The Singer Company - Schiller Park IL
International Classification:
F25B 4104
F16K 3112
US Classification:
137494
One modification provides a temperature responsive charge in the bellows and the mean effective area of the bellows is greater than the mean effective area of the valve orifice to compensate the closing force and reduce the valve differential.
