US Patent:
7684778, Mar 23, 2010
Filed:
Sep 12, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/225685
Inventors:
Haoli Qian - Sunnyvale CA, US
Xiang Guang Feng - San Jose CA, US
Runsheng He - Sunnyvale CA, US
Zhipei Chi - Sunnyvale CA, US
Assignee:
Marvell International Ltd. - Hamilton
International Classification:
H04B 1/10
US Classification:
455302, 455285
Abstract:
Systems and techniques relating to image cancellation in received communications signals are described. In one aspect, a received communications signal can include a desired signal and an image signal. A leakage tracing signal can be generated, and the image signal can be removed from the communications signal using the leakage tracing signal mixed with the communications signal. Implementations can include generating a first channel signal and a second channel signal, generating a first filter using the first channel signal and the leakage tracing signal, and generating a second filter using the second channel signal and the leakage tracing signal. Removing the image signal from the communications signal can include filtering the first channel signal using the second filter to obtain a first filtered signal, filtering the second channel signal using the first filter to obtain a second filtered signal, and subtracting the second filtered signal from the first filtered signal.

Mar 14, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/376601
Inventors:
Haoli Qian - Sunnyvale CA, US
Runsheng He - Sunnyvale CA, US
Assignee:
Marvell International Ltd. - Hamilton
International Classification:
H03D 3/24
US Classification:

Abstract:
Circuits, methods, apparatus, and systems for recovering a clock from a spread spectrum signal having a periodic modulation profile. The circuits generally include an error detector circuit configured to compare the spread spectrum signal and a recovered clock signal, and to produce a first error signal corresponding to the periodic modulation profile and a second error signal corresponding to phase differences other than the spread spectrum modulation, a record and playback unit configured to record a value to a frequency memory, said value based on the first error signal and produce a third error signal corresponding to a predicted periodic modulation based at least in part on the recorded value, and a signal generator configured to produce the recovered clock signal in response to the second and third error signals.

US Patent:
7773017, Aug 10, 2010
Filed:
Sep 16, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/283841
Inventors:
Runsheng He - Sunnyvale CA, US
Haoli Qian - Sunnyvale CA, US
Assignee:
Marvell International Ltd. - Hamilton
International Classification:
H03M 3/00
US Classification:
341143, 341144
Abstract:
A noise shaping module includes a first addition module that receives an N-bit digital input signal, where N is an integer greater than one. A first filter module generates a first filtered output signal based on an output signal of the first addition module. A truncation module generates an M-bit truncated output signal based on the first filtered output signal, where M is an integer less than N. A second filter module generates a second filtered output signal based on the M-bit truncated output signal. The second filtered output signal is an input to the first addition module.

A described technique includes receiving a communications signal including a desired signal and an image signal; generating a leakage tracing signal at a frequency band of the image signal, the leakage tracing signal including a noise signal, a frequency of the leakage tracing signal being within the frequency band of the image signal; and removing the image signal from a signal that is based on the communications signal and the leakage tracing signal to resolve the desired signal, where the removing is based on an addition of the leakage tracing signal to the communications signal. Removing the image signal can include using one or more weights to control one or more filters to resolve the desired signal. The one or more weights can be determined based on the noise signal.
