Abstract:
A curable adhesive composition kit and method of adhering substrates is provided having three basic adhesives and up to three additional optional adhesives. The basic adhesives include: at least one curable silicone end group-containing adhesive; at least one curable cyanoacrylate adhesive, and at least one curable epoxy adhesive. The optional adhesives can be one or more of the following: contact adhesive, urethane adhesive, polyvinylacetate adhesive, and pressure sensitive adhesive. The kit system also can have a selection guide for the adhesives in the system based on substrate types or substrate types and use conditions. Optionally a guide for using the adhesives in repairing adherends can be included in the kit. Also optionally the selection guide and/or the repair guide can be in an interactive program on a web site on a computer network such as the internet.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to an adhesive and more particularly to a moisture curable adhesive. In one embodiment, the present invention includes a moisture curable adhesive comprising a polymer or copolymer including reactive silicon end groups; from about 0.01 to about 40 percent by weight of a clear filler that will not substantially interfere with the clarity of the adhesive; and from about 0.01 to about 10 percent by weight of a dehydrating agent. In another embodiment, the present invention includes a moisture curable adhesive comprising a copolymer including a reactive silicon group; from about 33 to about 85 percent by weight of a filler; and from about 0.01 to about 10 percent by weight of a dehydrating agent. The present invention is further directed to a method of joining two adherends.

Abstract:
The present invention includes a paint formulation comprising a water-based latex and microspheres, wherein the microspheres have an effective particle size and are present in an effective amount to both provide a smooth paint finish and fill, cover or conceal superficial blemishes in a painted substrate when the paint formulation is dry. In another embodiment, the present invention includes a method of applying a paint formulation to a substrate having superficial surface imperfections comprising applying with a first paint applicator the paint formulation to the superficial imperfections in the surface to be painted, allowing the applied paint formulation to dry until it is at least dry to the touch, applying with a second paint applicator the paint formulation to the surface of the substrate to produce a first paint surface.

Abstract:
Disclosed are compositions containing a pigment mixture and a binder. The pigment mixture contains a non-ionic platy filler and at least a second pigment material. The non-ionic platy filler may be present in an amount of 1% by weight to 9% by weight and the at least one second pigment material may be present in an amount of at least 30% by weight based on total weight of the pigment mixture. The at least one second pigment material may have a weighted average oil absorption of 20 g linseed oil absorbed per 100 g at least one second pigment material to 100 g linseed oil absorbed per 100 g at least one second pigment material based on total weight of the pigment mixture. Also disclosed are articles comprising an adhesive comprising one of the compositions in an at least partially dried state positioned between first and second substrates.
