High Performance Axle Assembly

View page
US Patent:
41357663, Jan 23, 1979
Filed:
Apr 7, 1975
Appl. No.:
5/565468
Inventors:
Gary Trautloff - Bellflower CA
Assignee:
Henry's Machine Works - Anaheim CA
International Classification:
B60B 2706
US Classification:
301114
Abstract:
High performance rear axle assembly comprising a separable wheel-mounting flange and axle. The flange is fabricated of alloy steel highly resistant to bending stress, and the axle of a different alloy steel more highly resistant to torsional stress. The flange is splined onto the shaft and blocked against bending displacement by a cone interfitting the flange hub.

Stacking Arrangement For Air Movers

View page
US Patent:
54031524, Apr 4, 1995
Filed:
Sep 16, 1993
Appl. No.:
8/122245
Inventors:
Gary L. Trautloff - Fullerton CA
Montgomery A. Bisson - Huntington Beach CA
International Classification:
F04D 1708
F04D 2942
US Classification:
415206
Abstract:
An air mover which allows for both side-by-side and coaxial stacking. An air mover is essentially composed of substantially a cylindrical fan or motor housing with an air exhaust nozzle extending tangentially therefrom. The side-by-side stacking arrangement includes the interlocking of the stacking register of the handle of the air mover with the underside of the accessory flange at the distal end of the nozzle. The handle snugly nests within the space formed by the nozzle as it extends tangentially from the motor housing. The coaxial stacking involves the interlocking of a tab on the nozzle and a circular projection on one planar surface of the air mover with a slot and circular depression on the opposite planar of another air mover. The diameter of the circular depression being greater than the diameter of the circular projection and the slot being sized to receive the tab. Alone or in combination, the interlocking systems provide for compact storage and transportation.

Vacuum Extractor

View page
US Patent:
56575092, Aug 19, 1997
Filed:
May 9, 1995
Appl. No.:
8/437939
Inventors:
Gary L. Trautloff - Fullerton CA
Montgomery A. Bisson - Huntington Beach CA
Assignee:
Professional Chemical Corporation - Chandler AZ
International Classification:
A47L 536
US Classification:
15321
Abstract:
The vacuum extractor of the present invention is a self contained system for delivery of hot cleaning solution to a surface and vacuum removal of the spent solution either simultaneous with its application or at a later time through a vacuum system which deposits the spent cleaning solution in an upper housing. The extractor is configured to dump the cleaning solution from an upper housing which may be pivotally tipped upwardly from the front to enhance the draining of spent solution. The rear of the extractor of the present invention is configured to enable the extractor to be back up to and located adjacent a toilet bowl. The upper housing containing the spent solution is high enough to be pivoted over the toilet bowl and emptied, while still pivotally attached to the lower housing. The dump valve is positioned to be protected from damage from bumping surrounding structure. The point of pivotal movement of the upper housing is significantly rearward of the junction between the upper housing and the lower housing to enable the dump valve to be positioned further rearwardly upon tilting of the upper housing.

Axle Assembly For All-Terrain And Like Vehicles

View page
US Patent:
45925968, Jun 3, 1986
Filed:
Sep 5, 1984
Appl. No.:
6/647230
Inventors:
Gary Trautloff - Westminster CA
International Classification:
B60B 3504
US Classification:
301132
Abstract:
An improvement in an axle assembly for off-road vehicles 10 having a swing arm 18 carrying left and right rear wheels 20 in which the assembly comprises an elongated shaft 22 centrally journaled in thread-lockable relation on the swing arm and having left and right hand end portions defining wheel mounting hubs 44 outboard of the swing arm in a manner subjecting the shaft portion 50 between the hubs and the swing arm to severe bending moments likely to cause cracking in shaft threaded portions 48, comprising thread-lockable shaft locking apparatus separable from the shaft, the locking apparatus including an internally threaded nut 62, an exteriorly threaded slide 60 nonrotatably keyed to the shaft, and shoulder device 68, 70 opposing the slide in blocking relation responsive to threaded adjustment of the nut on the slide to lock the shaft relative to the swing arm free of cracking-prone threading on the shaft.
