Abstract:
An apparatus for monitoring operation of a dishwasher device is provided. Such an apparatus comprises a light projection device operably engaged with the dishwasher device and configured to project light therefrom. The projected light is configured to form at least one of an alphanumeric character and a graphical character, corresponding to a status of the dishwasher device. The projected light is adapted to be directed onto a surface adjacent to the dishwasher device such that the status is readable by a user. Associated systems and methods are also provided.

Leak Detection System For A Dishwasher And Associated Method

View page
US Patent:
20090126465, May 21, 2009
Filed:
Nov 16, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/941441
Inventors:
Fred Dennis Kedjierski - Kinston NC, US
Douglas J. Nagel - Kinston NC, US
International Classification:
G01M 3/00
US Classification:
73 405R
Abstract:
A leak detection system for a dishwasher is provided, such a leak detection system comprises a catch pan having a bottom portion and adapted to collect a leaking fluid therein. The leak detection system further comprises a leak detection device mounted above the bottom portion of the catch pan. The leak detection device includes a body portion with adjacent and spaced apart first and second contacts extending therefrom toward the bottom portion of the catch pan. One of the first and second contacts extends further toward the bottom portion than the other of the first and second contacts, so as to space the other of the first and second contacts from the bottom portion of the catch pan. An associated method is also provided.

Apparatus And Associated Method For Controlling A Washing Fluid Level In A Dishwasher

View page
US Patent:
20100175718, Jul 15, 2010
Filed:
Jan 9, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/351325
Inventors:
Fred Dennis Kedjierski - Kinston NC, US
Dennis A. Poyner - Kinston NC, US
Mark D. Montgomery - Greenville NC, US
Troy Dalsing - Kinston NC, US
International Classification:
B08B 3/04
US Classification:
134 18, 134 56 D
Abstract:
A method and associated device and appliance for controlling a washing fluid level in a dishwashing appliance are provided. A sump assembly of a dishwashing appliance is filled with washing fluid to a predetermined fluid level determined by a fluid level sensing device directly engaged with the sump assembly. The sump assembly is operably engaged with a tub portion at a lower end thereof. Washing fluid is circulated between the sump assembly and the tub portion. After circulating the washing fluid, an operational fluid level within the sump assembly is determined by the fluid level sensing device. When the operational fluid level differs from the predetermined fluid level by more than a threshold level, one of a washing fluid drain valve and a washing fluid fill valve is actuated to substantially restore the washing fluid to the predetermined fluid level.

Intrusion Alarm And Emergency Illumination Apparatus And Method

View page
US Patent:
40991687, Jul 4, 1978
Filed:
Nov 6, 1975
Appl. No.:
5/629664
Inventors:
Fred Dennis Kedjierski - Margate FL
John Bailie - Ft. Lauderdale FL
Assignee:
Magnum Products, Inc. - Ft. Lauderdale FL
International Classification:
G08B 1322
US Classification:
340517
Abstract:
An intrusion alarm and emergency illumination apparatus includes an audible alarm and lighting device which are activated by sounds associated with human intrusion into a physical structure. The sounds of intrusion may be differentiated from other sounds by a bandpass digital amplifier and rate of rise detector which receive audio-electrical waveforms from a microphone. A monostable multivibrator and variable resistance element may be employed to select the duration of activation of the lightning device and alarm and may be employed to provide a preselected exit delay permitting an operator to arm the system and leave the premises without having the sounds of his exiting activate the lighting device and alarm. Emergency illumination may be provided by a reserve power system used to energize the lighting device and alarm system during power outages.

Hybrid Electronic Radio Repeater

View page
US Patent:
48625140, Aug 29, 1989
Filed:
Nov 24, 1986
Appl. No.:
6/934267
Inventors:
Fred D. Kedjierski - Margate FL
Assignee:
World Electronics, Inc. - Coral Springs FL
International Classification:
H04B 714
US Classification:
455161
Abstract:
An improved hybrid electronic radio repeater comprising an antenna means for receiving a select, narrow frequency band of radio wave signals, the radio wave signal(s) being transmitted from discrete sources wherein the radio wave signals contain source, status and control information. A radio frequency amplifier means filters and amplifies the radio signals and passes them to a mixing means. The mixing means, including a local oscillator means, combines the radio frequency signals with the local oscillator signals to produce intermediate frequency signals. The intermediate frequency signals are narrow filtered causing tuning by local oscillator tuning means. An intermediate frequency amplifier means detects and amplifies the IF signals and generates a signal strength level indication in response thereto. A control means, the control means being an intelligent unit capable of discerning information and generating responses thereto, monitors the signal strength level indications and also initiates the tuning voltage level of said narrow frequency band local oscillator tuning, for the presence of select radio wave signals, the control means tuning the hybrid radio repeater in response to the presence of the select signals.
