Circular Saw Blade For Cutting Fiber Cement Materials

View page
US Patent:
6691596, Feb 17, 2004
Filed:
Aug 11, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/638054
Inventors:
Iqbal Singh - Lincoln NE
Fabrice Malard - Pleasant Prairie WI
Assignee:
Irwin Industrial Tool Company - Freeport IL
International Classification:
B23D 5700
US Classification:
83 13, 83835
Abstract:
A rotary saw blade for cutting fiber cement board materials. In one embodiment, a rotary saw blade is provided having a main body plate and a central opening with respect to an axis of rotation. A plurality of cutting teeth are disposed about the periphery of the plate. Arcuate tooth support portions extend rearwardly from the cutting teeth and have a center of curvature offset from the axis of rotation. Peaked shoulders having a forwardly sloping portion, a peak and a rearwardly sloping portion extend from the tooth support portions. The peaked shoulders partially define hook-shaped gullets between the shoulders and the cutting teeth.

Laser Line Generating Device

US Patent:
6735879, May 18, 2004
Filed:
May 7, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/141392
Inventors:
Fabrice J. Malard - Pleasant Prairie WI
Ryan K. Hopper - Lincoln NE
Daniel L. Poole - Phoenix AZ
Robert N. Poole - Phoenix AZ
Assignee:
Irwin Industrial Tool Company - Raleigh NC
International Classification:
G01C 1500
US Classification:
33286, 362259, 362119
Abstract:
A self-contained line generating device uses a laser diode and a lens to project a fan-shaped beam of visible light. The lens is useful for receiving light and transmitting light in an asymmetrical planar beam. The light is useful for aligning objects in a vertical or a horizontal line. The generator also includes a substantially flat face and leveling devices for leveling and orienting the generator onto a flat surface. Retractable pins enable a user to easily mount the line generator onto a wall and align objects.

Manual Leveling Rotating Laser With Swivel Head

US Patent:
6871408, Mar 29, 2005
Filed:
Feb 28, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/376650
Inventors:
Fabrice J. Malard - Pleasant Prairie WI, US
John H. Loudenslager - Phoenix AZ, US
Albert Gamal - Le Mesnil le Roi, FR
Assignee:
Irwin Industrial Tool Company - Freeport IL
International Classification:
G01C015/00
US Classification:
33286, 33291, 33281, 33DIG 21
Abstract:
A self-contained laser generator uses a laser diode and a mirror to generate a laser light beam, split it into two parts, and generate perpendicular beams of laser light. One of more mirrors are useful for receiving light and splitting it into two beams. An internal motor then rotates the mirrors and one of the beams becomes a rotating laser light, useful for aligning objects in a horizontal or vertical direction. The other beam may be used to locate and orient the rotating laser line generator in a different plane.
