Already knew that I was addicted to explosives technology at this point (blame it on my father's 30+-year heritage with DuPont as a senior executive and my personal experiences in DuPont's premier R&D laboratory at the Jackson Laboratory facility in Deepwater, NJ and my childhood fascination with blowing things up), but was trying to learn whatever more that it could. Full-time night student at Drexel Institute of Technolgy (now called Drexel University) while working full-time days at DuPont back in the days when my 2-foot long ivory and teak K&E slide rule (given to me as a gift from my Ph.D. chemist boss after our first patent was approved) was an honored 'status' symbol. The gift was a never-forgotten honor and a significant status symbol while I was employed full-time as a Research Technician/Technologist at E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Company within DuPont's premier research & development Jackson Laboratory facility located in Deepwater, New Jersey. Those were the days when life was much more simple and "Better Things for Better Living" were developed "Through Chemistry"!!
