Filed:
Jun 26, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/607418
Inventors:
Ernest H. Zerenner - Wilmington DE, US
Gilbert A. Segal - Hockessin DE, US
Gregory James Zerenner - Newark DE, US
Assignee:
Power Financial Group, Inc. - Wilmington DE
International Classification:
G06Q 40/00
US Classification:
705 36, 705 35
Abstract:
Exemplary systems and methods for analyzing and searching financial instrument data respond to user defined searches using updated financial market data. Potential returns from different investment strategies can be viewed together so that the returns and risks can be compared and contrasted. The effect on various option strategies of a change in the price of the underlying stock can be analyzed. Potential investment opportunities relating to an existing investment position can be identified. Stock repair opportunities relating to a selected stock investment can be identified and implemented.

Option Search Criteria Testing

US Patent:
8200569, Jun 12, 2012
Filed:
Jun 21, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/820952
Inventors:
Ernest H. Zerenner - Wilmington DE, US
Gregory James Zerenner - Newark DE, US
Michael L. Chupka - Newark DE, US
Assignee:
Power Financial Group, Inc. - Wilmington DE
International Classification:
G06Q 40/00
US Classification:
705 37, 705 35
Abstract:
A system for testing option search strategies comprises a repository of historical option data reflecting financial market conditions on a plurality of days in the past. The system is adapted to receive user defined search criteria for searching the repository of historical option data for option investments, search the repository of historical option data for option investments satisfying the user defined search criteria, and transmit the results. The system is further adapted to receive a request to use the user defined search criteria to search current financial market data for existing investment opportunities.

US Patent:
8301535, Oct 30, 2012
Filed:
Sep 29, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/676374
Inventors:
Ernest H. Zerenner - Wilmington DE, US
Gilbert A. Segal - Hockessin DE, US
Gregory James Zerenner - Newark DE, US
Assignee:
Power Financial Group, Inc. - Wilmington DE
International Classification:
G06Q 40/00
US Classification:
705 36R, 705 37, 705 44
Abstract:
Systems and methods for financial data analysis are provided. A system is provided wherein financial data associated with stocks and stock options is collected from multiple sources and calculations performed thereon to derive values for a set of searchable screening parameters related to searching stock option spreads. Users may access the system and provide values and ranges of values for searching the set of searchable screening parameters. In response, users are presented with the set of option spreads, in sorted order, that satisfy the user-supplied search values. Users may select to execute an option spread in which case the system automatically executes the plurality of option trades that underly the spread.

Decoupled Flow And Pressure Setpoints In An Extraction Instrument Using Compressible Fluids

View page
US Patent:
53226267, Jun 21, 1994
Filed:
Feb 5, 1993
Appl. No.:
8/013899
Inventors:
Lenore R. Frank - Landenberg PA
Christopher M. Wurm - Landenberg PA
Paul C. Dryden - West Chester PA
Steven J. Engel - Kennett Square PA
Mark A. Nickerson - Landenberg PA
Ernest H. Zerenner - Wilmington DE
Assignee:
Hewlett-Packard Company - Palo Alto CA
International Classification:
B01D 1508
US Classification:
210634
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for extracting sample components from complex matrices using supercritical fluid as the principal extracting solvent are disclosed. The invention takes advantage of the fact that the solvent power of a supercritical fluid is stepwise settable by the parameters of density, modifier concentration, and temperature. Accordingly, methods and apparatus for extracting a component from a sample using fluid flow system having a variable and controllable flow restriction are disclosed. The methods of the present invention comprise the steps of inserting the sample into the sample container section, inputting temperature, pressure, flow rate and extraction time set points. Flow rate is controlled and system pressure regulated by the variable flow restriction. The output stream from the extraction is then expanded through a nozzle and into a trap.
