We strive to be a physician practice dedicated to state-of-the-art care for patients with gastrointestinal and liver diseases. We perform most endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy (EGD), ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and are skilled in the therapeutic maneuvers associated with each. Dr. Van Os graduated from Rice University and then attended Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, graduating in 1985. His Internal Medicine residency was completed at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1988. He followed this with a faculty position at UT-San Antonio as an Assistant Professor of General Internal Medicine. Between 1992 and 1996, Dr. Van Os completed fellowships in Gastroenterology and advanced therapeutic endoscopy at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1995. Since 1996, Dr. Van Os has been in practice with Associates in Gastroenterology in Colorado Springs. In addition to general gastroenterology and hepatology, Dr. Van Os has special interests in therapeutic endoscopy, pancreatic and biliary diseases as well as the management of inflammatory bowel disease. He is a member of numerous professional societies. Dr. Van Os currently serves on the Medical Peer Review Committee at Penrose Main Hospital.
