Pressure Activatable Chemiluminescent System Useful For Covert Intrusion Detection

View page
US Patent:
7959835, Jun 14, 2011
Filed:
Jul 22, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/507577
Inventors:
Earl Cranor - Longmeadow MA, US
Eric Domingos - Chicopee MA, US
Luis Fidalgo - Springfield MA, US
Assignee:
Cyalume Technologies, Inc. - West Springfield MA
International Classification:
G01N 21/76
C09K 3/00
US Classification:
252700, 362 34, 436172
Abstract:
This invention is directed towards chemiluminescent systems useful in the practice of methods of intrusion detection, compositions useful for intrusion detection and methods for their formation, and to covert intrusion detection techniques and compositions therefore containing an infrared light generating chemiluminescent system, blended into an earthen-like carrier that enable one to detect whether any movement has breached an area during a certain time frame.

Evacuation Station With Multiple Lightstick Activation

View page
US Patent:
20090103279, Apr 23, 2009
Filed:
Oct 19, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/875371
Inventors:
Joseph Cosimo Longo - Feeding Hills MA, US
Eric James Domingos - Holyoke MA, US
International Classification:
F21K 2/00
US Classification:
362 34
Abstract:
A chemiluminescent lightstick evacuation station consisting of a wall mountable fixture that stores a plurality of lightsticks that are accessed by opening the fixture cover. The fixture cover is opened by pivoting from a closed position to an open position wherein a lightstick restraint causes the activation of all stored lightsticks so as to facilitate their removal and use during an emergency. One lightstick may be retained in the device by use of restricted movement housing, and all lightsticks may be made to rotate outwardly for ease of access.

Emergency Light Station With Mechanically Activated Radio Frequency Signaling

View page
US Patent:
20100097778, Apr 22, 2010
Filed:
Oct 21, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/255464
Inventors:
William R. Palmer - Rescue CA, US
Stephen L. Palmer - Cameron Park CA, US
Joseph Cosimo Longo - Feeding Hills MA, US
Eric James Domingos - Holyoke MA, US
International Classification:
F21K 2/06
F21V 15/01
US Classification:
362 34, 362362
Abstract:
A signaling system for an emergency light station containing chemiluminescent light sticks. The light station includes a cover that generates mechanical energy upon opening that is then transformed into electrical power. The electrical power is then utilized to transmit a radio frequency signal to a remote location is alert an observer to the fact that the light station has been opened. The alert provides an immediate indication that an emergency is in progress or that the safety emergency light station is being vandalized.

Chemiluminescent Signaling Devices

US Patent:
20110085318, Apr 14, 2011
Filed:
Aug 13, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/856091
Inventors:
Earl CRANOR - Longmeadow MA, US
Eric DOMINGOS - Chicopee MA, US
International Classification:
F21K 2/06
US Classification:
362 34
Abstract:
A signaling device comprising a multi-part chemiluminescent light source and a reflective member attached to the signaling device. The chemiluminescent light source comprises at least one first part comprising at least one oxalate ester and at least one fluorescer, and at least one second part comprising at least one peroxide and at least one catalyst. Further, the signaling device comprises a multi-part chemiluminescent light source and a stand attached to the signaling device, wherein the chemiluminescent light source comprises at least one first part comprising at least one oxalate ester and at least one fluorescer, and at least one second part comprising at least one peroxide and at least one catalyst.

Combined Chemiluminescent And Fluorescent Powder Marking System

US Patent:
20130134356, May 30, 2013
Filed:
Nov 27, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/686294
Inventors:
Eric Domingos - Chicopee MA, US
Assignee:
Cyalume Technologies, Inc. - West Springfield MA
International Classification:
C09K 11/07
US Classification:
25230134, 25230116, 427157
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a powder composition comprising both chemiluminescent and fluorescent components. In some embodiments, the disclosure provides a marking system, which is in powder form, comprising at least one oxalate ester, at least one fluorescer, at least one peroxide, at least one catalyst, and at least one secondary fluorescent agent. In accordance with the present disclosure, the at least one oxalate ester, the at least one fluorescer, the at least one peroxide, and the at least one catalyst are admixed at the time of use for the generation of light. In certain embodiments, the chemiluminescent components emit light in the visible, ultra-violet, or infrared spectrum as the result of a chemical reaction, and the secondary fluorescent components can be selected for their ability to absorb at least some of the light generated by the chemiluminescent components, and then reemit light at a different wavelength.
