I primarily worked in both the Locked and outpatient mental health units. I ran groups from 3-18 patients with psychiatric diagnosis from psychosis to major depression and the full spectrum in between. I met with patients 1:1 who had Dementia or physical impairment or who were otherwise unable to attend groups. I Facilitate Life Skills Groups: Time Management, Budgeting, Meal Planning, etc.; Operated within budget constraints for ordering supplies for Two OT programs. Goal identification and setting with the client (Adult Partial - higher cognitively functioning clients, and the Day Treament Program for chronic slightly lower cognitively functioning clients). Ran Project Groups (craft type activities to evaluate cognitive level and incorporated communication-and provide an avenue for task complete, satisfaction). I worked with people who self injured and had personality disorders. I also facilitated gentle stretching groups. I also worked teaching Coping/Communication/Life Skills with the Chemical Dependency Program.
