Apr 30, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/246355
Inventors:
- San Francisco CA, US
David B. Kosecoff - San Francisco CA, US
International Classification:
G06T 7/90
A61K 8/70
A61Q 1/02
Abstract:
Systems and methods for application of cosmetic designs are described. In an embodiment, the system includes a visible light mirror, comprising a first portion being at least partially transparent to visible light; a camera, optically coupled with the visible light mirror to receive visible light via the first portion; an illumination source, physically coupled with the visible light mirror and configured to emit a plurality of discrete wavelength channels; and a computer system, electronically coupled with the camera and the illumination source, and comprising one or more processors and a non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform one or more methods of the present disclosure.

Determining Position Of A Personal Care Device Relative To Body Surface

View page
US Patent:
20220309269, Sep 29, 2022
Filed:
Mar 26, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/214414
Inventors:
- Paris, FR
David B. Kosecoff - San Francisco CA, US
Assignee:
L'Oreal - Paris
International Classification:
G06K 9/00
G06K 9/60
G16H 20/00
G16H 30/00
Abstract:
A computer system obtains a digital 3-dimensional model of a body surface, such as a human face. Portions of the surface correspond to reference points in the model. The system obtains image data of a personal care device in use as well as image data of the surface on which the model is based. The system calculates a relative location of the device relative to the reference points based on the image data of the surface. The system determines a true position of the device with respect to the surface based on the image data of the device in use, known physical dimensions of the device, and its relative location, even when the device is partially occluded from view. The system may, based on the true position of the device, cause device to perform actions such as application of a cosmetic or administration of a skin therapy.

Wearable Device And Method For Measuring Ultra-Violet Light With Visible Light Sensor

US Patent:
20220178744, Jun 9, 2022
Filed:
Dec 9, 2020
Appl. No.:
17/116844
Inventors:
- Paris, FR
David B. Kosecoff - San Francisco CA, US
International Classification:
G01J 1/58
H04Q 9/00
G01J 1/42
G16H 50/30
Abstract:
A wearable UV sensor includes a UV pass filter; a UV phosphor material; and a visible light sensing device, wherein the UV sensor is configured to receive light including visible light and UV light, wherein the UV pass filter directs the UV light to the UV phosphor material and the UV phosphor material fluoresces visible light in proportion to the UV light from the UV pass filter, and the visible light sensing device measures the visible light fluorescing from the UV phosphor material to determine the amount of the UV light entering the sensor, which correlates to the UV exposure of a subject wearing the UV sensor.

Augmented Reality Cosmetic Design Filters

US Patent:
20230101374, Mar 30, 2023
Filed:
Sep 30, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/491061
Inventors:
- Paris, FR
David Kosecoff - San Francisco CA, US
Assignee:
L'Oreal - Paris
International Classification:
A45D 44/00
G06K 9/00
G06T 7/20
G06T 7/90
G06T 7/70
G06T 19/20
G06T 19/00
Abstract:
Systems, devices, and methods for generating, sharing, and presenting augmented reality cosmetic design filters. One or more non-transitory computer memory devices can store computer-readable instructions that, when executed by computing circuitry, cause the computing circuitry to perform operations for generating augmented reality cosmetic design filters. The operations can include defining a baseline description of a biological surface using one or more radiation sensors, the radiation sensors being electronically coupled with the computing circuitry. The operations can include identifying an application of a cosmetic formulation to the biological surface using one or more of the radiation sensors. The operations can include generating a trace describing the application in reference to the baseline description. The operations can also include outputting the trace.

Hair Contouring Treatments Using Photoresponsive Hydrogels
