David K has been performing for over 30 years as a singer songwriter, solo, duo up to 8 or 10 pieces with girl singers and horn section. Recently David has been liquidating his assets for the purpose of purchasing a tour bus to chase a music dream. He's been developing a TV show about Big Stars Undiscovered and Music Legends. Host David K returns to Minnesota after another music biz "close call," and belly aches to a friend. "I'm gonna sell everything, my business, my house, my boat... and buy a tour bus. Create a reality show called, Midlife Crisis Rock Star Wannabe U.S. Tour!" ya see, David had met and performed with Jeff Cook of the band Alabama and developed a relationship. He'd submitted songs to Jeff and thought one of his tunes would be on Jeff's new album. He asked Jeff to save him a harmony on his own tune. Then in Nashville, sitting on the patio at "Loser's Bar" near Music Row, Jeff Emailed David and said, "No, not your tune, 'She's a Woman,' the Beatles tune, 'She's a Woman.' Imagine how David felt. He Emailed Jeff Back telling him, no hard feelings and asked himself, "How do I get onto that patio," as he looked at the joint next door. "Winner's Bar." David K put his business, a magazine, on the market. His house and boat about gone, and he's held singer songwriter LIVE Rock Star Wannabe competitions at a big downtown Minneapolis theater. The next era of the show, "The Big Star U.S. Tour" will take the name "Rock" off the bill and appeal to all musical genres. Famed interviews with the likes of Ginger Baker, drummer for Cream, Jon Anderson, lead singer of YES, Joey Molland of Badfinger and more grab viewers, and the passion of the driven singer songwriters chasing the same music dream as David K, pull at the heart strings of music dreamers and viewers alike. Follow this dream down the road, stay tuned here and at www.BigStarUSTour.com We'll keep you posted as to our progress obtaining major network affiliation. This is a show about seeking undiscovered singer songwriters, BIG STARS yet to be found. Everybody knows somebody who "shoulda made it." Well, instead of hopeful stars chasing 1000s of miles to sit in line with 1000s to audition and be rejected by judges, The Big Star U.S. Tour travels the country seeking those undiscovered. Sometimes by happenstance as we appear in small town America, and sometimes at singer songwriter competitions held for those under 21 at shopping malls, and for those 21 and up at local nightclubs.
