Filed:
May 2, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/743632
Inventors:
Brooks Vaughan - Houston TX, US
Brandon W. Fears - Houston TX, US
Keith J. Kuehn - Spring TX, US
Darrel G. Gaston - Spring TX, US
Douglas R. Woellner - Houston TX, US
International Classification:
H02J 9/00
US Classification:
307 66
Abstract:
An Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with remote capabilities, and systems and methods of implementing the same, are disclosed. An exemplary UPS system with remote capabilities includes a battery unit and a remote unit configured to be physically separated from the battery unit so that a user can electrically connect an electronic device to the battery unit without having to physically connecting the electronic device directly to the battery unit. The UPS system also includes a user interface on the remote unit. The user interface is operable to output status of the battery to a user even if the user is separated from the battery unit.

Event Based Correlation Of Power Events

View page
US Patent:
20120017102, Jan 19, 2012
Filed:
Mar 18, 2009
Appl. No.:
13/256278
Inventors:
Charles W. Cochran - Spring TX, US
Darrel G. Gaston - Spring TX, US
Alan L. Goodrum - Tomball TX, US
Assignee:
HEWLETT-PACKARD DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, L.P. - Houston TX
International Classification:
G06F 1/26
US Classification:
713300
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with event based correlation of power events are described. One example method includes storing a power distribution unit (PDU) event data that identifies an occurrence of a suspected power event associated with a device. The method can then provide a PDU-server correlation signal that identifies a connection between a PDU and a device.
