Embodiments relate to systems and methods for managing versions of a software package in a development environment. A package distribution module can interface with a set of stages of the development environment to manage the development of multiple versions of software packages. The package distribution module can establish access rights of entities to advance appropriate versions of the software packages to appropriate stages of the development environment. One or more versions of the software packages can be advanced or moved to other stages of the development environment according to the access rights. The package distribution module can establish new access parameters of software packages in response to the one or more versions advancing or moving to other stages, such that appropriate entities have access to advance appropriate versions. The package distribution module can provide production versions of software packages to a package manager for distribution to target machines.

Abstract:
Embodiments of the present teachings relate to systems and methods for generating modular security delegates for applications. According to embodiments, in a multiple network environment, multiple machines (or clients) can be configured. Each machine can include a plurality of application instances and an authentication delegate. In addition, each network environment can include a communication interface to security services. The applications can include logic that indicates what security delegate to use for a given set of user authentication credentials. The logic can be configured to determine the appropriate authentication delegate using various methods. The authentication delegates can receive a set of user authentication credentials from application instances and determine whether the set of user authentication credentials are valid. Each authentication delegate corresponds to one and only one type of authentication mechanism.

A package manager generation tool can interface with a set of stages of a development environment to receive source code configured for a software package build. The package manager generation tool can further receive a configuration file from a web user interface, wherein the configuration file can comprise a set of commands that, when executed, can build a software package from the source code. A distribution schedule can indicate one or more distribution systems to which to distribute the software package.
