View page
US Patent:
7747854, Jun 29, 2010
Filed:
Apr 7, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/098524
Inventors:
Daniel Adent - Bellevue WA, US
Cory West - Central Point OR, US
Clifford P Strom - Sammamish WA, US
Brian D. Crites - Redmond WA, US
Assignee:
Microsoft Corporation - Redmond WA
International Classification:
H04L 29/06
H04J 3/16
G06F 15/16
US Classification:
713160, 370471, 709217
Abstract:
A header object for a data file is comprised of sub-objects which specify properties of the data stream and contains information needed to properly verify and interpret the information within the data object. In order to allow the protection of any set of sub-objects without requiring that the sub-objects follow any specific ordering, a new sub-object is introduced which includes region specifiers identifying regions within sub-objects and verification information for those regions. This new sub-object in the header object allows the modification of non-protected regions and reorganization of sub-objects in a header without invalidating verification information.

US Patent:
20120100910, Apr 26, 2012
Filed:
Feb 17, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/029926
Inventors:
David M. Eichorn - Redmond WA, US
Matthew Monson - Kirkland WA, US
William Paul Giese - Snohomish WA, US
Daniel A. Adent - Bellevue WA, US
Assignee:
MICROSOFT CORPORATION - Redmond WA
International Classification:
A63F 13/00
US Classification:
463 31
Abstract:
A system and method for producing video replay output of a gameplay sequence are disclosed. The gameplay sequence occurs during execution of a video game, and is recorded during gameplay to yield a recording that is of relatively lower quality relative to an ultimate output. A tag may be associated with an event occurring during the gameplay sequence. Using the tag, the method further includes receiving a user selection of the gameplay sequence. The method further includes, subsequent to gameplay, producing a viewable representation of relatively higher quality of the gameplay sequence via processing of the relatively lower quality recording, and may further include outputting the viewable representation as a standard-format video file.
