Tailings Distribution Control For Harvester

View page
US Patent:
8282453, Oct 9, 2012
Filed:
May 12, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/106493
Inventors:
Curtis Frederick Hillen - Lititz PA, US
Todd A. Cannegieter - Leola PA, US
Assignee:
CNH America LLC - New Holland PA
International Classification:
A01F 12/52
US Classification:
460 13, 340684
Abstract:
A method and system for use with the combine to modify tailings conveyed to a cleaning system grain bed. Methods and systems are provided that utilize one or more sensors to detect uneven distribution of crop material in the grain bed, which provides information for a controller to determine whether adjustments to a tailings distribution system is needed to encourage even distribution of crop material in the grain bed. Elements in the tailings distribution system can be adjusted to alter direction of tailings conveyed to the grain bed to encourage even distribution of crop material on the grain bed. The system may also inform an operator of suggested manual adjustments to mitigate the non-uniformity.

Herbert M. Farley - Elizabethtown PA, US
International Classification:
A01F 12/44
US Classification:
460 9
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for distributing crop material onto a cleaning sieve of an agricultural combine. The method includes providing at least one sensor configured and operable for sensing information representative of at least one of a quantity of grain associated with the crop material distributor and an inclination angle associated with the crop material distributor, and outputting signals representative thereof. The method includes providing a crop material distributor disposed between a threshing system of the combine and the sieve, for distributing crop material from the threshing system generally evenly onto the sieve. The method includes providing an apparatus operably associated with the distributor for controllably distributing crop material onto the sieve. The method includes controlling a position of the apparatus as a function of signals from the at least one sensor.

Auger Bed For A Lateral Leveling Cleaning System

US Patent:
20130165191, Jun 27, 2013
Filed:
Dec 21, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/333352
Inventors:
Herb M. FARLEY - Elizabethtown PA, US
Curtis F. Hillen - Lititz PA, US
Assignee:
CNH AMERICA LLC - New Holland PA
International Classification:
A01F 12/44
A01D 41/12
A01D 41/127
US Classification:
460 1, 460 80
Abstract:
A cleaning system for use in a combine harvester including an auger bed mounted within a frame such that when the combine harvester is laterally inclined from the horizontal, the cleaning system, including the auger bed and a sieve, may be leveled or substantially leveled to a generally horizontal position. In some embodiments, the auger bed comprises a plurality of augers located side by side with their axes positioned generally longitudinally in the combine harvester.

Harvester Delivery Control System

US Patent:
20130172057, Jul 4, 2013
Filed:
Jan 3, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/342597
Inventors:
Herbert M. FARLEY - Elizabethtown PA, US
Curtis F. HILLEN - Lititz PA, US
International Classification:
A01F 12/44
US Classification:
460 5
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for distributing crop material onto a cleaning sieve of an agricultural combine. The method includes providing a sensor in connection with a controller, the sensor senses information representative of grain associated with a crop material distributor and an inclination angle associated with the crop material distributor, and outputs signals representative of grain associated with a crop material distributor and an inclination angle associated with the crop material distributor to the controller. The method provides the crop material distributor for distributing crop material from a threshing system onto a sieve. The controller determines information representative of grain associated with a crop material distributor and an inclination angle associated with at least one of the crop material distributor and the combine. The method includes outputting signals for operable control of operating parameters associated with the crop material distributor and the sieve.

Threshing Components For Combine Harvester

View page
US Patent:
20210127583, May 6, 2021
Filed:
Nov 4, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/672784
Inventors:
- New Holland PA, US
Michael Minnich - Elizabethtown PA, US
Curtis Hillen - Lititz PA, US
Cale Boriack - Lititz PA, US
Assignee:
CNH Industrial America LLC - New Holland PA
International Classification:
A01F 7/06
A01F 12/22
Abstract:
A threshing system for a combine harvester includes a support bracket that is configured to be attached to a threshing rotor cylinder of the threshing system and a rasp bar that is configured to be mounted to the support bracket. A channel is formed in one of the rasp bar and the support bracket for receiving a surface of the other of the rasp bar and the support bracket, wherein engagement between the channel and the surface limits movement of the rasp bar on the support bracket.

Sieve Assembly For A Crop Processing System Of An Agricultural Harvester

View page
US Patent:
20210007285, Jan 14, 2021
Filed:
Sep 29, 2020
Appl. No.:
17/036321
Inventors:
- New Holland PA, US
Curtis F. Hillen - Lititz PA, US
Todd Cannegieter - Boiling Springs PA, US
Kevin N. Scotese - New Holland PA, US
International Classification:
A01F 12/44
Abstract:
A sieve assembly for use within an agricultural harvester may generally include a sieve, a crop material sheet, and at least one support element. The sieve extends along a length defined between a first sieve end and a second sieve end and processes a flow of harvested crop material. The sieve also defines a plurality of openings through which cleaned crop material of the flow of crop material is directed. The crop material sheet extends along a length defined between a first sheet end and a second sheet end and receives the cleaned crop material directed through the sieve's openings. The crop material sheet then directs the flow of cleaned crop material towards a separate component of the crop processing system. In addition, the support element(s) is directly coupled between the sieve and the crop material sheet and structurally connects the sieve to the crop material sheet.
