I entered the mortgage business in 1986 through my employment with a local credit union. As my career evolved, I learned a great deal about all types of mortgages and I have an extensive understanding about what I do. My favorite part about myjob is that I have the ability to help put people in a better financial situation than when they first came to me. I have never misled any borrower or put anyone into a loan they couldn't afford. I don't make loans that require people to come back to me in two or three years. I don't make loans that have prepayment penalties. I treat people the way I want to be treated. You will not find out at closing that I "messed up" or anything else that will suddenly require you to bring thousands of dollars more to closing. I just don't work like that. One more thing...I OVER ESTIMATE on rates and fees. I know that usually means that people won't even consider working with me, but it's the way every mortgage lender SHOULD operate...going back to the notion that I don't like unpleasant surprises, and I know you don't either. You're making a big decision. This is your HOME and that of your family, as well.You could go with someone who offers a lower rate or lower fees. Given the current economic climate and the fact that much of it is due to the unscrupulous actions of mortgage brokers, I hope you will consider coming to someone who is proven trustworthy.
