Filed:
Jun 7, 1995
Appl. No.:
8/477674
Inventors:
Kirston E. Koths - El Cerrito CA
Robert F. Halenbeck - San Rafael CA
Eric W. Taylor - Berkeley CA
Alice M. Wang - Lafayette CA
Clayton L. Casipit - Hayward CA
Assignee:
Chiron Corporation - Emeryville CA
International Classification:
C07K 100
B01D 1508
US Classification:
530395
Abstract:
A purified glycoprotein complex of over 1200 kD apparent native molecular weight having a sedimentation value of approximately 25S and having the ability to selectively bind human Mac-2 or interfere with PHA activation of lymphocytes, DNA sequences that encode the protein, and expression systems for expressing it, thus providing for medicaments that are useful for treating or diagnosing diseases, including cancer, infectious disease, and diseases of the immune system.

Binding Molecules And Computer-Based Methods Of Increasing The Binding Affinity Thereof

View page
US Patent:
61275247, Oct 3, 2000
Filed:
Oct 18, 1996
Appl. No.:
8/732708
Inventors:
Clayton L. Casipit - Hialeah FL
Hing C. Wong - Fort Lauderdale FL
Bee Y. Huang - Fort Lauderdale FL
Assignee:
Dade Behring Inc. - Deerfield IL
International Classification:
A61K 39395
US Classification:
5303873
Abstract:
The present invention features novel binding molecules and methods of improving the specific binding affinity of binding molecules, which methods do not use X-ray crystallography. For example, in one aspect, the invention features methods of making antibodies with improved specific binding affinity for a polypeptide produced during prothrombin activation. The present invention is useful for a variety of applications including, e. g. , producing binding molecules with improved binding affinity; and screening for binding molecules which are in low abundance.
