About:
Licensed since 1976 in Louisiana, Cindy has been a full time real estate professional. Having her own office in Baton Rouge for a few years, the oil & gas crunch and the Savings & Loan crisis led her to a short move to Dallas, Texas then moving to New Smyrna Beach, Florida in 1990. She has been affiliated with Watson Realty since 1994 and has been their #1 agent most of those years. She enjoys visiting family and friends in Biloxi and in Louisiana to get her cajun food fix.
Since our peak in 2005, real estate has been quite a challenge. Sales volume was cut in half, due to a reduced # of sales & reduced prices. The short sales/pre-foreclosures & bank owned properties (REO) take a lot more time, money & energy, but at least they are selling, bringing the inventory down more than 50% in the last few years. Out of my 32 closings last year in 2009, 13 were short sales or REOs, so approximately half of my business.
