Skills:
I communicate effectively with the 99% of the students parents/guardians about ways to help their students to start taking their schooling more seriously and making positive character decisions and changes. In addition, I love to share with the teachers that the students will not care what you know until they know that you have respect and care for them. The program the teachers and a student spoke about on the section of my work experience, became number one in the district after a year of its existence all because of the way I worked effectively with the administrators, the teachers, the students, and of course their parents/guardian. Consequently, other schools wanted to know what our high school was doing that was causing the teachers to be exited to come to work because students behaviors had improved dramatically. Again the following is another example of what is called the students exit paper from TRAICE. I have numerous of such letters to the State Foundation for Excellence for a continuous funding of the above program. 3/5/10 (A 9th grade students exit paper) Time spent:10/26/09-10/28/09 When I first came to TRAICE I thought I was going to sit in a room for a while and then leave. But no I came here and learned not only how to respect and treat others but to respect myself. I learned how to stay out of the hallways because thats not helping me get my education. My mother was proud of me and I was to. She was proud of me because I learned how to stay out the hallways, how to keep my mouth shut, and also how to choose my friends wisely. TRAICE changed my whole perspective of things and a lot of people. If I didnt come to TRAICE I dont know what I would have done because it helped me out a lot. I thank Ms. Agbai so much for helping me with my problems.
