Abstract:
The present invention relates to hydrogenated block copolymers of vinyl aromatic polymer blocks and conjugated diene polymer blocks having specific total Mn and specific block Mns such that advantageous properties are attained. The present invention also relates to hydrogenated pentablock copolymers thereof and specifically hydrogenated pentablock copolymers useful in thin walled injection molding applications.

Viscosity Index Improvers For Lubricating Oil Compositions

View page
US Patent:
7163913, Jan 16, 2007
Filed:
Jul 1, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/611231
Inventors:
Stuart Briggs - Edison NJ, US
Chin Chu - Westwood NJ, US
Assignee:
Infineum International Limited - Oxfordshire
International Classification:
C10M 143/00
C08F 36/00
US Classification:
508591, 526335, 585 10, 585 12
Abstract:
A polymer suitable for use as a viscosity index improver for lubricating oil compositions, which is at least one, at least partially hydrogenated linear or star-shaped random copolymer of isoprene and butadiene, in which at least 70 wt. % of the butadiene is incorporated into the polymer as 1,4 units and the weight ratio of isoprene addition product to butadiene addition product in the copolymer is in a range of from about 90:10 to about 70:30.

Zeolite Catalysts Modified With Group Iv A Metals

View page
US Patent:
43583970, Nov 9, 1982
Filed:
Dec 31, 1980
Appl. No.:
6/221602
Inventors:
Chin C. Chu - North Brunswick NJ
Assignee:
Mobil Oil Corporation - New York NY
International Classification:
B01J 2718
US Classification:
252437
Abstract:
A modified zeolite catalyst composition useful for the conversion of aromatic compounds to dialkylbenzene compounds rich in the 1,4-dialkylbenzene compounds rich in the 1,4-dialkylbenzene isomer. The reaction is carried out in the presence of a zeolite catalyst having a silica to alumina mole ratio of at least 12 and a constraint index of about 1-12, said catalyst having been modified by treatment with compounds of Group IV A (Ti, Zr, Hf), and optionally phosphorus, to deposit a minor proportion of such elements on the zeolite.

Zeolite Catalyst Modified With Group Ivb Metal

US Patent:
43943004, Jul 19, 1983
Filed:
Nov 14, 1980
Appl. No.:
6/206820
Inventors:
Chin C. Chu - North Brunswick NJ
Warren W. Kaeding - Westfield NJ
Assignee:
Mobil Oil Corporation - New York NY
International Classification:
B01J 2928
US Classification:
252455Z
Abstract:
A modified zeolite composition useful for the conversion of aromatic compounds to dialkylbenzene compounds rich in the 1,4-dialkylbenzene isomer. The reaction is carried out in the presence of zeolite catalyst having a silica to alumina mole ratio of at least 12 and a constraint index of about 1-12, said catalyst having been modified prior to use by treatment with compounds of germanium, tin and/or lead, and optionally phosphorus, the deposit a minor proportion of such elements on the zeolite.
