Philosophy:
Chelene believes in consistent, long-term work, which looks at positive and negative patterns in one's life. She helps patients accentuate positive patterns and characteristics to decrease or replace the negative patterns. Chelene works with individuals, couples, and adolescents. She also helps people to accept and celebrate alternative lifestyles, and believes that there are endless possibilities for her patients. Finally, Chelene believes that mental and emotional health is strongly connected with physical health, and helps people to work toward balance in all areas of life. Counseling Expertise: Chelene's strengths include working with depression, anxiety, insomnia, parenting, communication, relationships, sensuality and sexuality, and divorce (before, during, and after), which includes a child-centered approach to this very difficult transition. She has helped many couples reconnect after affairs or simply growing apart.
