Razor Head Assembly

View page
US Patent:
48668443, Sep 19, 1989
Filed:
Mar 11, 1988
Appl. No.:
7/161335
Inventors:
Charles J. Burout - Oxford CT
Assignee:
Warner-Lambert Company - Morris Plains NJ
International Classification:
B26B 2106
US Classification:
30 50
Abstract:
According to this invention a means of staking is provided in which a portion of the stake near the bottom is subjected to shearing and cold-forming to form a skirt. The skirt provides a locking assembly for the component parts of the razor head without chamfering the area around the receiving orifices. The locking is also done without the possibility of bending, deforming or shattering the individual stakes themselves.

Razor Handle

US Patent:
51075903, Apr 28, 1992
Filed:
Mar 26, 1991
Appl. No.:
7/675988
Inventors:
Charles J. Burout - Oxford CT
Frank A. Ferraro - Trumball CT
Evan N. Chen - Fairfield CT
Assignee:
Warner-Lambert Company - Morris Plains NJ
International Classification:
B26B 2130
US Classification:
30 85
Abstract:
A razor handle having a rigid core, and preferably a moldable resilient cover, adapted for attachment to a separately formed handle head. The rigid core of the razor handle in the present invention advantageously extends upwardly into the handle head. According to one preferred embodiment of the present invention, the rigid core is formed, at least in part, of a metal. The covering layer, because of its flexibility, compressibility and initial deformability, provides a comfortable secure surface for the razor user. The resilient cover provides a limit for compressibility as well as a compressive resilience desired by many users.

US Patent:
49494570, Aug 21, 1990
Filed:
Aug 3, 1988
Appl. No.:
7/227930
Inventors:
Charles J. Burout - Oxford CT
Assignee:
Warner-Lambert Company - Morris Plains NJ
International Classification:
B26B 2114
US Classification:
30 85
Abstract:
According to this invention a composite razor handle having a rigid inner core of thermoplastic material and a moldable flexible resilient covering layer is provided. This flexible convering layer because of its flexibility, compressibility and initial deformability provides a comfortable secure surface for the razor user. The handle of this invention, due to its bicomponent nature, provides a limit for compressibility as well as the compressive resilience desirable by many users.
