Automated Diesel Exhaust Fluid (Def) System And Method

View page
US Patent:
20210017890, Jan 21, 2021
Filed:
Jul 20, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/933671
Inventors:
- Oklahoma City OK, US
Brennan Schmidt - Weatherford OK, US
International Classification:
F01N 3/20
F01N 3/28
Abstract:
An automated diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) system and method for refilling DEF. The automated DEF system provides DEF refilling after an initial setup and without manual intervention. The automated DEF system includes a electric DEF flow control device that controls the flow of DEF. The electric DEF flow control device may include control circuitry, an electrics enclosure that encloses the control circuity, an electric fluid sensor, a valve, a beacon light, a status light, a button, a threaded swivel connection, and a mandrel on the inside of the threaded swivel connection.

Method And Apparatus For Multi-Line Fuel Delivery

US Patent:
20200407211, Dec 31, 2020
Filed:
Jul 24, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/938622
Inventors:
- Lafayette LA, US
Brennan Schmidt - Weatherford OK, US
International Classification:
B67D 7/36
B67D 7/04
B67D 7/78
B67D 7/84
F16K 31/26
Abstract:
A gravity-fed fuel delivery system is provided. A central storage tank holds fuel to re-supply a number of pump trucks or other mechanized equipment, such as on a hydraulic fracturing location, and can be selectively raised or lowered. Hoses or other conduits extend from the central storage tank to individual fuel tanks of the equipment to be refueled. Adapters allow connection of the distal end of each hose or conduit to an inlet opening of a fuel tank. A float valve assembly senses when fuel inside an individual fuel tank is below a predetermined level, thereby mechanically opening a valve assembly to permit fluid to flow from the central storage tank, through a conduit, through the float valve assembly and into the fuel tank.

US Patent:
20190359475, Nov 28, 2019
Filed:
May 20, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/416729
Inventors:
- Lafayette LA, US
Brennan Schmidt - Weatherford OK, US
International Classification:
B67D 7/04
B67D 7/36
B67D 7/58
B67D 7/78
Abstract:
A gravity-fed fuel delivery system is provided. A central storage tank holds fuel to re-supply a number of pump trucks or other mechanized equipment, such as on a hydraulic fracturing location, and can be selectively raised or lowered. Hoses or other conduits extend from the central storage tank to individual engines of the equipment to be refueled. Adapters allow connection of the distal end of each hose or conduit to an inlet of the suction side of the engine. Adaptors also allow connection of the return side of the engine's fuel system back to the central storage tank. Thereby mechanically allowing flow from the central storage tank, through the engine's fuel system, supply fuel for the engine to burn and allowing the return or unburned fuel a path back to the central storage tank.
