Abstract:
Embodiments of tokenized search suggestions include generating, by at least one suggestion engine executing on a data processing system, first suggestions based on first text input in a text input field. The first suggestions are displayed on a display device and a selection of one of the first suggestions is received. The first text input is replaced with a first token corresponding to the selected one of the first suggestions. The at least one suggestion engine generates second suggestions based on second text input in the text input field and filters the second suggestions using the selected one of the first suggestions. The filtered selections are displayed on a display device.

Abstract:
Stationery templates for electronic messages are provided in an electronic messaging system. For one embodiment, a user can select from a list of categories and within each category is a set of one or more stationery templates from which a user can choose. The user may edit the stationery template. The user can also create custom stationery and share it with other users. Upon selection or creation of a stationery template, the user is presented with a formatted electronic message and can add, remove, or edit text content or replace media content. Alternatively, a stationery template can be changed or added to the electronic message after the user has begun composing and editing the text content. The content and format of the text and media components are carried over into the new template. When the message is sent, it is saved and transmitted in a format such that it can be rendered to look the same at the receiving machine.

Displaying web feed contents into email messages. A web feed manager formats web feed contents from a web feed to allow a user on the email client application to read web feed contents as email messages with all the controls typically provided by the email client application for an email message, such as displays with threading views and folders for saving messages. A technique of configuring an email client application to set up a user's email account on the email client application. In one embodiment, the email client application requests the user to input an email address and a password and based on the email address, the email client application determines the corresponding email server providing the email service. Methods and systems for managing To do items and/or notes and/or emails (or other electronic messages) are described. A record, such as a To do item, in a database maintained locally by the data processing system is encoded into metadata. The metadata is sent as a false email message by an email client application executing on the data processing system to a remote email message server. An email client application executing on a remote processing system accesses the email message server and receives the false email message containing the metadata. The remote client application then either converts the metadata back into a database record editable at the remote processing system or presents a non-editable view of the database record, for example as an incoming email message.
