Abstract:
The mobile device () sends credentials to the authentication module (), which may be the credential module () of the first access control device (a). If these credentials are authenticated, the first access control device (a) allows access to its associated first secured element (a) and puts the access control devices (a, b) in the second mode, viz. the secure-pass-through-mode. Any request to access a second secured element (b) received from the mobile device () in the second mode is passed on and treated as an authenticated request to a second access control device (b). The access control devices (a, b) allow access to their associated secured elements (a, b) based on whether the type of access being requested is consistent with the type of credentials.
