National Certified Patient Care Technician Skills: Earned a PCT Scholarship and learned the skills for working in hospitals and other health care settings, reviewing the anatomy and physiology of major body systems and medical terms, legal, and ethical issues. Also will be learning in skills of catheter care, phlebotomy, electrocardiograms, glucose monitoring, oxygen therapy and trach care, basic wound care and many more. CNA/GNA Skills: Excellent record keeping skills and attentive to patients' needs. Task thinking while performing basic needs duties. Training in patient care and safety, diagnostic testing, medical terminology, electronic or paper medical records vital signs and patient monitoring, medication administration, privacy / HIPAA regulations and patient advocacy and support. Pharmacy volunteer skills: Operated under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Regularly in charge of filling and processing prescriptions. Also tasked to oversee inventory of medication and other supplies. CPR Health Professional: one and two-person CPR for adults, children, and infant victims. Use of Automated External Defibrillators, bag mask ventilations, personal protective equipment during CPR, and clearing obstructed airways on conscious and unconscious victims. Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Outlook and Excel knowledge and internet usage. Abilities to learn different computer systems. Computer operation setup, maintenance, and some troubleshooting.
