Abstract:
A method and system of compensating for environmental effect when detecting signals using a structural health monitoring system includes collecting baseline data signals for one or more values of the environmental effect variable from signals transmitted along selected paths between transducers in an array attached to the structure. A threshold is selected based on the baseline data for determining if the signal is detected. Current data signals are collected and matched to the best fit baseline data. The value of the environmental effect variable is determined on the basis of the matching. A signal is detected according to the selected threshold.

Abstract:
Data visualizations and user interfaces help managers view the totality of deal opportunities in progress and identify potential shortfalls. A deal stage visualization includes deal stage regions corresponding with deal stages and arranged along a first axis. Deal icons represent individual pending deals and are assigned to one of the deal stages. The set of deal icons associated with each deal stage form a deal icon set. The deal stage visualization also includes a second axis representing aggregate values of the deal stages. Each deal icon set is associated with a display region having a displayed size along the second axis that is proportional to an aggregate value of its included deal icons. Different icon sets with different aggregate deal values will have different size scrollable display areas. The size of the display area associated with an icon set remains unchanged during scrolling.

Data visualizations and user interfaces help managers monitor progress in meeting their performance targets and explore hypothetical situations for meeting performance targets. A pending deal visualization is partitioned into first and second portions representing times prior to and following a performance period deadline. Deal icons are arranged in either portion based on their expected deal closing dates. Deal icons may also be positioned based on their probabilities of successful completion. A performance goal visualization includes indicators for the progress towards a performance goal. A user may move deal icons between the first and second portions in the pending deal visualization to explore hypothetical changes in deal closing dates and view the impact on goal progress in the performance goal visualization. Proposed changes to expected deal closing dates may be saved for future reference and/or distributed to other users to act on these changes.
