External Bone Screw System And Method Of Use For Fractures, Fusions Or Osteotomies

View page
US Patent:
20090112208, Apr 30, 2009
Filed:
Oct 25, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/924566
Inventors:
Anthony V. Borgia - Las Vegas NV, US
Axel A. Weller - Las Vegas NV, US
International Classification:
A61B 17/00
A61B 17/04
A61B 17/58
US Classification:
606 59, 606301, 606104
Abstract:
A bone screw system is disclosed. The bone screw system allows a bone screw to be inserted into a bone via a guide set with a plurality of pins. After the bone screw is inserted, a head portion of an extension member attached to the bone screw remains external to the wound such that the bone screw can be tightened later without re-opening the wound. The bone screw system is applicable to bone fractures, bone fusions, Osteomonies and other bone connectivity procedures. After healing, the bone screw may be left in the patient by removing an upper portion or the screw may be removed with additional incisions and a local anesthetic.

Helmet Mounted Lighting System

View page
US Patent:
20110051400, Mar 3, 2011
Filed:
Sep 3, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/553772
Inventors:
Howard G. Cohen - Las Vegas NV, US
Axel Weller - Las Vegas NV, US
International Classification:
F21V 21/084
US Classification:
362106
Abstract:
A helmet lighting system includes a housing configured for attachment to a helmet wherein a lighting module includes a power source, plurality of light sources, signal receiving means configured to receive operational signals from one or more associated vehicles and a controller configured to selectively control the plurality of light sources responsive to said signal receiving means receiving said operational signals. In this manner, the lighting module may mimic brake lights and strobe lights associated with a motorcycle for example thereby rendering the motorcycle and rider more visible. Flexible ends of the housing allow the housing to attach securely to different helmet styles. Alternatively the lighting module may be integrated with the helmet. An emergency mode allows the helmet to be used as a warning device.

Reconfigurable Shoe

US Patent:
20130326913, Dec 12, 2013
Filed:
Jun 8, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/491917
Inventors:
Axel Weller - Las Vegas NV, US
Justin Siefert - Las Vegas NV, US
International Classification:
A43B 21/24
US Classification:
36105
Abstract:
A hinge member incorporated between a footbed toe plate and footbed arch plate allowing a shoe to be configured as a flat or heeled shoe. The footbed toe plate and footbed arch plate are rotatably joined via one or more hinge pins inserted through interlaced teeth of each plate. A spring-biased hinge lock extending between the two plates is controlled by a spring-biased pin in positioned with a notch selectively receiving the hinge lock such that the hinge lock disengages said footbed arch plate allowing said footbed arch plate to rotate relative to said footbed toe plate. The heel block includes a spring-biased heel lock extending into a removable heel and is controlled by a spring-biased pin positioned with a notch selectively receiving the hinge lock such that the hinge lock disengages said heel allowing said heel to be freely removed from said heel block.

Hydraulic Clutch System For Motorcycle And Method Of Using The Same

View page
US Patent:
20190112005, Apr 18, 2019
Filed:
Oct 13, 2017
Appl. No.:
15/783861
Inventors:
Axel Weller - Las Vegas NV, US
International Classification:
B62M 25/04
F16D 48/02
F16H 59/02
B62M 25/06
Abstract:
A hydraulic clutch system for a motorcycle includes a foot pedal for engaging and disengaging a hydraulic clutch via hydraulic fluid in a first hydraulic fluid conduit and a hand clutch lever for engaging and disengaging the hydraulic clutch via hydraulic fluid in a second hydraulic fluid conduit. A solenoid or similar article switches the system between foot pedal and hand clutch lever control based on pressure in hydraulic lines extending from the foot pedal and hand clutch lever to the hydraulic clutch. A pressure switch, micro-switch or similar article communicates with, and activates the solenoid or other article to switch between lines.
