B65D008/14
US Classification:
220/006000
Abstract:
Collapsible container () for transport and storage of goods, which container includes a carrying base part (), a plurality of collapsible side walls () and a lid (). The side walls () are movably attached to said base part () by means of lower hinge members (), said side walls () being arranged as a first and a second side wall (and respectively) being arranged parallel to each other and a third and a fourth side wall (and respectively) being arranged parallel to each other and adjacent to the first and the second side walls (and respectively). The first and second side walls are moveably attached to an upper frame member () via upper hinge members () The first and second side wall (and respectively) are further parted into each an upper and a lower section via a vertical folding line (). An upper edge of said third and fourth side walls (and respectively) are each provided with at least one locking lip (), said locking lips () limiting the outwards movement of said third and fourth side walls (and respectively) by interacting with an inner edge () of said upper frame member (). The lid () is provided with an inner rim () which is interacting with said inner edge () of said upper frame member (). The inner rim () is furthermore interacting with said locking lips () thereby limiting inwards movement of said third and fourth side walls (and respectively) while said lid () is arranged on said collapsible container () whereby undesired collapsing of said collapsible container () is prevented while said lid () is properly arranged on said container ().

Foldable Container With Access Opening

View page
US Patent:
20130175265, Jul 11, 2013
Filed:
Jan 9, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/345965

Axel Sommer - Tacoma WA, US
Henning Rader - Middleburg VA, US
International Classification:
B65D 6/18
US Classification:
220 428
Abstract:
A collapsible container includes a rectangular bottom wall and a plurality of walls pivotally connected to the bottom wall. The plurality of walls include first and second side walls disposed in facing relation and first and second end walls disposed in facing relation. An access door is provided in the first end wall. The access door is pivotable between a closed position and an open position. The first side wall is collapsible from an upstanding position to a collapsed position overlaying the bottom wall, the second side wall is collapsible from an upstanding position to a collapsed position overlaying the collapsed first side wall, and the first and second end walls are collapsible from an upstanding position to a collapsed position overlaying the second side wall.

View page
US Patent:
20180273245, Sep 27, 2018
Filed:
Mar 20, 2018
Appl. No.:
15/925997
Inventors:
- Winchester VA, US
Axel Sommer - Tacoma WA, US
International Classification:
B65D 21/02
Abstract:
A crate is configured for blind-stacking on an adjacent crate with side walls. The crate may include a bottom panel, end walls extending from the bottom panel, and side walls extending from the bottom panel and connected between the end walls. The side walls include a stacking rim on a top surface. The bottom panel may include guide ribs under the side walls, respectively, and positioned adjacent a forward end of the crate. The guide ribs may be sized and shaped to positively engage the side walls of the adjacent crate, and the guide ribs may be configured to prevent the side walls of the adjacent crate from deflecting outward under load. The crate facilitates blind-stacking and helps to minimize the effort for an operator to handle heavier loads.

US Patent:
20170232664, Aug 17, 2017
Filed:
Feb 8, 2017
Appl. No.:

Axel Sommer - Tacoma WA, US
International Classification:
B29C 65/78
B29C 65/02
Abstract:
A weld stop element may be used in a hot plate welding process for bonding first and second plastic components. The weld stop element includes a weld stop post positioned between ribs of one or both of the components. The weld stop post is sized such that the weld stop post is not accessible by a heating element during a heating phase of the hot plate welding process. The weld stop post defines a stop position for when the first and second plastic components are pressed together after the heating phase.
