Abstract:
A cable termination to a power distribution module includes a power distribution module housing having a conductive mounting tube extending therefrom. The mounting tube includes a main bore extending therethrough for receiving a main power cable. A main power cable is received within the main bore, wherein the main power cable includes at least one wire extending into the power distribution module housing. The main power cable includes a cylindrical shield element surrounding the at least one wire. A spring element engages the shield element and biases the shield element into engagement with the mounting tube to electrically common the shield element and the housing.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a field of electric connector, and in particular, to a structure for a terminal in an electric connector. In one preferred embodiment, a structure for a terminal in an electric connector is provided. The structure comprises: a terminal fixation part; a terminal elastic part; and an overstress prevention element. The terminal elastic part is extended from the terminal fixation part, wherein the terminal elastic part enables elastic deformation relative to the terminal fixation part and is configured to bend toward the terminal fixation part upon application of an external force. The overstress prevention element is provided between the terminal fixation part and the terminal elastic part, and is adapted for restricting overbending of the terminal elastic part. Furthermore, the present invention provides an electric connector incorporating the structure for the terminal therein. According to the present invention, the structure for a terminal in an electric connector realizes an overstress preventing performance.

Abstract:
A power distribution center for an automotive vehicle electrical system comprises a junction block having a plurality of receptacles formed on an upper surface thereof to receive electrical components such as fuses and relays, and a holder insertable into engagement with the junction block to retain electrical terminals properly positioned within the junction block to make contact with the electrical components. A rectangular gap is formed in a side wall of the junction block. Passages extend from a recessed surface within the gap into the junction block. The terminal holder has arms which are inserted into the passages to engage the terminals and inhibit downward movement thereof, and an end plate which fits into the gap. The terminal holder end plate is configured to fit into the gap such that the outer surface of the end plate substantially matches the contours of the side wall and effectively seals off the openings of the passages in the gap. An upper housing fits downwardly over the top surface of the junction block such that a peripheral edge of the housing surrounds the upper edge of the side wall and also the upper portion of the terminal holder end plate to complete the sealing of the passages.

Abstract:
A cover assembly for a battery module is configured to be coupled to battery cells that are arranged side-by-side in a stacked configuration. The cover assembly includes a housing, a plurality of bus bars, and an electrical cable. The bus bars are held by the housing and are configured to electrically connect to corresponding positive and negative cell terminals of the battery cells to electrically connect adjacent battery cells. The cable extends across the bus bars and is electrically connected to each of the bus bars to monitor voltages across the battery cells. The cable includes plural electrical conductors and a dielectric insulator that surrounds and electrically isolates the conductors. The conductors include exposed segments exposed through the dielectric insulator that are electrically connected to corresponding bus bars via a bonding layer applied between the exposed segment and the corresponding bus bar.
