Mar 4, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/717460
Inventors:
Lusine Yepremyan - Glendale CA, US
Amrinder Arora - Centreville VA, US
Christopher Kakovitch - Herndon VA, US
Assignee:
NTelx, Inc. - Vienna VA
International Classification:
G06F 15/00
US Classification:
706 62, 706925, 702181, 702184, 702185, 702189, 702 23, 703 17, 703 22, 705 1452
Abstract:
In one embodiment, we describe a method that generates seasonality rules for anomaly detection for a hierarchical/tree based data structure. A new algorithm for processing nodes in hierarchy, as well as business rules for nodes, is described. Variations and examples are given to describe different scopes and embodiments of the invention. Exclusion criteria and children nodes are used as some examples for the implementations, with flow charts to describe the methods of application, as examples.

Method, System, And Apparatus For Auditing, Tracking, Or Inspection Of Data, Objects, Or Their Corresponding Modifications

View page
US Patent:
20070294318, Dec 20, 2007
Filed:
Jun 20, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/765461
Inventors:
Amrinder S. Arora - Centreville VA, US
Rajender Arand - Vienna VA, US
International Classification:
G06F 17/30
US Classification:
707202
Abstract:
A method and system for tracking changes to business data objects are presented. The system tracks changes to business data object of an underlying software system. It records data after each change to the business data object, and allows the user to review past versions, and compare different versions. The system is able to pinpoint exactly what change was made to a business data object. It is a self-contained system that can understand complex, hierarchical business data, spanning an unlimited number of tables. It does not add additional complexities to business logic, and does not alter the production database.

Method, System, And Apparatus For Categorizing And Presenting Risk Based Analytical Results

View page
US Patent:
20100198632, Aug 5, 2010
Filed:
Feb 2, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/364492
Inventors:
Amrinder S. Arora - Centreville VA, US
International Classification:
G06Q 10/00
US Classification:
705 7
Abstract:
A system for computing, categorizing and presenting risk based analytical results to a human user for a cargo port security is presented. The system computes analytical results and presents that to the human user in a variety of configurable displays, allowing the user to evaluate the transaction on particular subset of data elements (also called aspect or facet) and a particular viewpoint (also called perspective or intelligence source). The system also enables the human user to compare the transaction to similar transactions (by allowing the user to define “similar”) from relevant past time periods (by allowing the user to define “relevant” periods).

System And Method For Using Genetic Algorithm For Optimization Of Targeting Systems, Based On Aggregated Scoring Models

View page
US Patent:
20130185234, Jul 18, 2013
Filed:
Jan 16, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/351021
Inventors:
Amrinder Arora - Centreville VA, US
Lusine Yepremyan - Glendale CA, US
International Classification:
G06N 3/12
US Classification:
706 13
Abstract:
In our presentation here, as examples, we describe methods and systems with various optimization techniques. More specifically, they are directed to methods for applying genetic algorithms, and the use of genetic algorithms in optimizing targeting systems that use an aggregated scoring model. In general, the genetic algorithm principle gives guidelines for constructing practical search techniques when the number of possible trials is extremely large. The examples and other features and advantages of the system and method for using Genetic Algorithm for Optimization of Targeting Systems are described.

Cyclicality-Based Rules For Data Anomaly Detection

US Patent:
20130226660, Aug 29, 2013
Filed:
Aug 24, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/594713
Inventors:
Lusine Yepremyan - Glendale CA, US
Amrinder Arora - Centreville VA, US
Christopher Kakovitch - Herndon VA, US
International Classification:
G06Q 30/02
US Classification:
705 731
Abstract:
In one example, we describe a method that generates cyclicality rules for anomaly detection for a hierarchical/tree based data structure.

Method And System For Calculating And Presenting Options For Planning Transportation

View page
US Patent:
20130231865, Sep 5, 2013
Filed:
Mar 4, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/411578
Inventors:
Amrinder Arora - Centreville VA, US
Nitin Sehra - Delni, IN
International Classification:
G06F 3/048
G01C 21/00
US Classification:
701538, 715810
Abstract:
We present a new method and system to calculate and present options when planning to move or transfer from point A to point B. We are introducing a new concept where user have more defining measurable factors in route selection, with option to further optimize the result based on user preference. The method can be used for passenger trip planning (for example, when booking a flight) and for freight trip planning (for example, when shipping an object). Other examples and methods are also given.

Method And System For Adaptive Appointment Scheduling

US Patent:
20130232089, Sep 5, 2013
Filed:
Aug 29, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/597792
Inventors:
Amrinder Arora - Centreville VA, US
Nipun Arora - Delhi, IN
Nitin Sehra - Delhi, IN
Daniel Reiss - Ashburn VA, US
International Classification:
G06Q 10/08
US Classification:
705333
Abstract:
The solution to the static appointment problem is adaptive appointment scheduling, where the system can estimate the arrival time of a truck with the given information like ETA (Estimated Time of arrival) of truck and truck route traffic information, and it can adjust the appointments accordingly, to manage terminal resources efficiently and minimize the congestion. In addition, we present a new method and system to calculate and present options when planning to move or transfer from point A to point B. We are introducing a new concept where user have more defining measurable factors in route selection, with option to further optimize the result based on user preference. Other examples and methods are also given.
