Amish N. Raval - Middleton WI, US
International Classification:
A61B 5/055
US Classification:
600423
Abstract:
Disclosed is a guide catheter that includes one or more RF antennas to enhance the visibility of the guide catheter in MR imagery. One embodiment of the guide catheter includes a loop coil at the distal end of the guide catheter and a loopless antenna between the distal end and the proximal end. By combining a loop coil and a loopless antenna on the catheter, the shaft of the catheter may be visible in MR imagery while the distal end may appear in the MR imagery more brightly than the shaft.

Abstract:
A multi-modality phantom is provided. The multi-modality phantom includes a container and an insert. The container defines an exterior that is separated from an interior space and designed to receive a tissue-mimicking medium for an ultrasound imaging process. The container further includes at least one access port formed in the container to perform the ultrasound imaging process of the interior space. The insert can be dimensioned to be selectively arranged within the interior space of the container. The insert includes imaging features arranged to simulate an environment and constructed to yield simultaneous imaging results when performing the ultrasound imaging process and at least one non-ultrasound imaging process.

Cardiac Fibroblast-Derived Extracellular Matrix And Injectable Formulations Thereof For Treatment Of Ischemic Disease Or Injury

View page
US Patent:
20190111113, Apr 18, 2019
Filed:
Nov 21, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/198019
Inventors:
- Madison WI, US
Amish Raval - Middleton WI, US
International Classification:

A61K 9/19
A61K 35/34
A61K 45/06
A61L 27/36
A61L 27/38
Abstract:
Compositions and methods using an engineered cardiac fibroblast-derived 3-dimensional extracellular matrix (ECM) are disclosed. The ECM includes the structural proteins fibronectin, collagen type I, collagen type III, and elastin, and from 60% to 90% of the structural proteins present in the engineered extracellular matrix are fibronectin. The compositions, which can be used to treat cardiac disease or ischemic disease or injury, are injectable compositions, where the ECM is diced into small fragments or lyophilized into a powder. The disclosed methods include a method of treating ischemic disease or injury by contacting a cell free patch made from the ECM with the injured tissue, without the concomitant delivery of therapeutic cells, and a method of treating ischemic limb injury by contacting a patch, either by itself or seeded with therapeutic cells, with the injured limb tissue.
